For a more bustling excursion, head five miles north to the larger town of Depoe Bay, where you'll find fresh seafood, world-class whale watching, and the world's smallest natural harbor. Newport is a few miles south if you want to pick up groceries or take the kids to the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
