Perfectly located in the heart of Ottawa. The hotel feels fresh and updated overall, however i will say the 2 dbl bed room felt small and cramped - with the front door opening right onto the closet door. There was little space between the beds. The room had a view of a rooftop - less than desirable. In Unfortunately our toilet felt wobbly and the sink filled up with water - clearly in need of maintenance. The hotel provides a top sheet separately - not in the bed, personally i am a flat/top sheet enthousiaste and don't like sleeping just with a comforter (must be a generational thing) The pool area is shared with the adjacent hotel - the hot tub has been built over with a makeshift deck - obviously with no intention of coming back. Gym was well equipped for a couple days stay with the basic equipment and machines. Ottawa has a growing homeless problem and the hotel does a good job at keeping them at bay, but there is only so much they can do. They were no bother to hotel guests, just sitting around. I'd stay again, but would request a better floor/view/room

It’s very inconvenient to send your customers to another parking lot at a random location without indications as to how to get there while also charging for that parking. Also, staff was not considerate to all this, didn’t try to help.

The hotel itself is great in terms of infrastructure and location but it definitely seems like they want to suck dollars out of you wherever possible. From charging for early check in to threatening a charge if you take the hotel shampoo and asking $1.00 extra for additional coffee pods, as a customer it was just a bit too in your face. Consequently it didn't feel as welcoming as I had hoped (the assumption that customers will steal or take advantage of services was off putting).

I reserved at Novotel but when we got at the hotel there was no electricity but they offered the option to go to Westin hotel.I really liked my stay at Westin. So my evaluation was for Westin.

Went for a date night with my spouse for a special occasion. Waited several hours to check in because they were rerouting the entire fully booked hotel to another hotel because of water issues. We didn't get to the new hotel until 11:00 PM. No refund. By this point, we were so exhausted that we went to bed. Very expensive and needlessly expensive date night. We will not stay at Novotel again.

Parking was closed so I spent $60 on parking in 24 hours. Super average hotel with a slightly cramped feel. Cut some corners to save cost and you can feel it.

No parking at the hotel and you need to park across in the shopping mall. I would be afraid at night crossing to the hotel. Staff in the evening was really strange. The female receptionist looked at me as i came from Mars but didn’t help me.
