Enjoy the beach at a slower pace at SWEET RETREAT-UNIT 321 at SUGAR BEACH! Sugar Beach is a low-rise complex, and SWEET RETREAT-UNIT 321 has plenty of room for the entire family to enjoy!

SWEET RETREAT-UNIT 321 AT SUGAR BEACH, has a vaulted ceiling in the living area and is two stories…giving you plenty of room to spread out! This unit has three bedrooms, a washer and dryer in the unit and two full baths and one half bath plus a balcony with a gulf view and closet of beach toys to borrow. A new air unit was installed in this past year as well as new furniture in the living room area!

SUGAR BEACH-Amenities at Sugar Beach include three full size pools (two beach side) and also a kiddie pool on the beach side. One of the beach side pools is also heated in winter months! Sugar Beach also has a tennis court, two elevators and beachside restrooms are available as well as a board walk to the powdery white sands of the beach on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico (complete with showers to wash the sand off after a day on the beach). The Sugar Shack at Sugar Beach is a favorite spot and open during peak season and offers snacks, drinks, sandwiches, sunscreen, pool toys and more! The Sugar Shack is super convenient and guests love grabbing something without having to go to the room or the store! A grilling area with seating is also located near the beach as well as several pavilions. Beach service is also available during peak seasons!


DETAILS ABOUT SWEET RETREAT-UNIT 321

LIVING ROOM-The living room area has a sofa (with a queen pull out) as well as three chairs. You can enjoy watching your favorite shows on the 50” smart television (Dish Network is provided or stream from your favorite provider). The adjacent dining table seats four and bar area off the kitchen seats three for additional dining options. Plus, the wet bar is stocked with a blender and glasses for your favorite drinks. A half bath is also conveniently located off of the living room area. Sliding glass doors lead to the balcony and provide a glimpse of the beach!

KITCHEN-The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make your stay at the beach easy. Cook as much or as little as you want with all the kitchen amenities to meet your needs and plenty of storage for your pantry items. The washer and dryer is also located in the kitchen area (making it super convenient to wash those beach towels when you come in from the beach)!

BALCONY-Enjoy a great beach view from the Balcony overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Two chairs with pull-out ottomans are perfect for lounging and additional seating. The counter height table and bar stools are great for morning coffee and as additional dining options (with the perfect view of the beach). A closet on the balcony has a variety of beach toys available to borrow during your stay! Sliding glass doors lead from the Living Room and Main Bedroom to the balcony area.

BEDROOMS-The master bedroom is located on the bottom floor and has a king bed and bath with double sinks, a shower/bathtub combo with toilet and a closet area. The master also has a 40” flatscreen smart TV. Upstairs you will find two additional bedrooms each with a sink and a shared bathroom with shower/tub and toilet between. Each upstairs bedroom has a 40” smart tv, room-darkening cellular shades that can easily be pulled down to block the morning sun and a closet. One bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed. The alternate bedroom has two, full size beds.

LOCATION-Sugar Beach is one of the first condos as you exit Gulf State Park leading into Orange Beach, making it super convenient to enjoy everything Gulf Shores and Orange Beach has to offer! Lartigue's Seafood Market is located right across the street if you want to stay in and pick up some fresh seafood (already prepared) to enjoy for dinner! Sugar Beach is also located convenient to many other favorite restaurants and shops in Orange Beach. The Backcountry Trail through the state park is located within walking distance to the unit making it super easy to enjoy a walk or jog through the many paths offered at the state park! A bike rental place is also located nearby.

PARKING-Parking is *$35 per car if paying with cash or credit card for $36.05, and can be purchased at the guard unit. This unit is allowed TWO parking spots. During peak times parking can be very tight and all spots are on a first-come, first served basis. The complex does not allow RVs, trailers or watercraft parked on-site. Please keep your completed parking pass visible at all times and talk with an on-site parking attendant if you have any issues. *This price can be adjusted without notice.

Perfect for beach vacay

Our condo was as promised, plenty of room for our family of 6. There was a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. The room was stocked with dishes, coffee makers, broom, games, etc. There were some beach toys, floaties, and chairs available to borrow also, Beds and furniture were comfy. The room WiFi worked well. Televisions were in good shape. Water pressure and temps in unit were nice too. The beach was a quick elevator ride away. We spent hours there everyday! The pools were clean and never too crowded. We enjoyed them. Other condo amenities included a pickleball court, a deck with rocking chairs for ocean viewing, a snack bar, and cornhole games. We enjoyed meeting other condo guests from various states. The condo complex is more aged/rundown than expected and it took me off guard a bit at the beginning. I just didn’t have the right expectations. I think it’s one of the older ones on the beach. I also wish more toiletries came complimentary with the room. No trash bags were provided past the first liner. That being said, our stay was still very wonderful and the room was beautiful. I would recommend to somebody coming to Orange Beach to enjoy beach and outside time in a specific price range.

Cats

Condo was nice and as expected. What wasn’t expected was the amount of stray cats on the property, they actually drink from the pools. The cats are openly fed on plates in the parking area and nap under the chairs by the pool. Security guys chat up the guests while they set out the food.

Beach Family Vacay

The property was exactly as pictured. It had adequate space and seating. The beds were all hard as rocks and very stiff. I highly suggest getting a memory foam topper for each bed!!! Still having back pains from them. The water stayed hot for all 10 showers each night. So that was a huge plus. It rained most of our trip and had double red flags so not many beach days for us. But there was tons of toys and beach supplies for us to use. But there was plenty of board games and puzzles for us to keep entertained. Overall it was a great stay and I highly recommend this condo. I feel I got exactly what I paid for.

Nice Condo, horrible bed

We loved the space of the condo. The king size bed was horrible! Literally me and my husband had so much back pain it nearly ruined our trip. I was also concerned because all of the downstairs fire alarms were either missing or disconnected- I contacted them about this but never received an explanation. For our group of 9 people the condo was a wonderful size and a great number of beds. If they replace that king size bed I would stay here over and over every single year. Besides the bed I really have no complaints. Loved having all the pool options. We had 3 grandparents, 2 parents, 1 teen, 2 preteens and a 6 year old. The space was amazing. I would automatically re rent for our vacation next year if it wasn’t for the bed. And I am not normally a complainer I saw the reviews that mentioned the bed and was thinking oh those people are just complainers or baby’s but no it’s really that bad.

Great accommodations

Enjoyed having 3 pools to chose from! Not a long walk to the beach! We were not happy that our three sets of chairs could NOT be close together, no fault of the condos, ceiling fans needs cleaning and garbage disposal did not work and never got a return service phone call! But we did still enjoy our trip!!

A Sweet Escape at Sugar Beach!

We stayed in property 321 at Sugar Beach this past week. I had read the reviews and was a bit worried about cleanliness, but upon arrival, my fears were quickly put to rest. We had plenty of space for all seven of us and the beach was amazing. My only complaint about this property is that the king sized bed in the master bedroom Is uncomfortable. The beds upstairs were great. All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our time here! The location is excellent, away from the mega business of the Hangout area but still close to those shops/restaurants plus the more quiet grocery stores in Orange Beach. The host was communicative & respectful when she reached out, the parking process was easy (note that it is $35/car to park!), the 3 pools were never too crowded although we never used them. We had some pretty rough storms while we were there but the structure of the building was super solid, we felt very safe. The setup of the bedrooms was awesome. The primary bedroom had it’s own bathroom, the upstairs was a “Jack & Jill” situation but each room still had their own private sink & vanity. The cleanliness could have been better. Our feet got black pretty quickly upon arriving and there was plenty of sand on the furniture/ground/counters. Speaking of furniture, careful on the rocking armchairs! If you lean back a touch too far it may topple! Happened to us twice. Overall we had a great experience here and would recommend it!

Dirty but fun

When we arrived, we noticed our feet were turning black from the floors. We were forced to wear shoes the entire time because the floor was so disgusting. Each dish we used, we had to wash ourselves before using because they were all dirty. There was a dirty wet rag left in one of the showers. The window upstairs was left open. There were spider webs and cobwebs everywhere. My niece came in the living room crying with a bloody foot because she stepped on a piece of glass in the bedroom (this was when we just arrived, so we know it was nothing from us) when we went to look, there wear actually several pieces of broken glass in the bedroom. We contacted the listing company and they refunded us for our cleaning fee and offered to have someone come in and clean again. We were happy about this solution. Other than the filth, we enjoyed our stay.

Great location and clean, safe property!

We love Sugar Beach condos and this one was great! Our favorite part of the condo was the size and layout. Worked great for our party of 7. They also have a snack shack by the pools that you can have lunch, snacks and drinks from which makes the days easier and keeps you from having to leave for food, etc. We loved every bit of our trip!

Overall opinion of our stay

Advertising oversold condo. Some what outdated. most drains clogged. Floor and rugs were dirty. Vents covered in dust. Down stairs needed fresh paint. Door knob lose.

Great Location with Short trek to the beach

Property and amenities were great. Parking spots are skinny but not overcrowded. Room was as described. Some items were broken and could use some TLC but overall the place was nice. Short walk from condos to the beach made for easy hauls with ice chest/toys/chairs. Pools were always clean and the Sugar Shack is a great spot.

Mother's day get away

We always have an amazing time staying at orange beach, The location is great. Great for a vacation for a family with a small child. The only problem we had was the room 321 it wasn't clean when we got there. It's like they didn't sweep nor mop the floors in a long time. Our feet were black within minutes. And the rugs weren't clean either. & the down stairs bathroom next to the kitchen had dried puke on the door & baseboards. We also wished that the sugar shack would've been opened longer. But other than all of that we had a great vacation.
