"A good stay at Hilton in Hiroshima!
The room was fantastic - with majestic views over the Hiroshima bay! A huge window with a windowseat made it possible to sit and enjoy the view for ages.
Less amenities than Intergate in Kyoto (no facial creams and cleansers, only the standard razor etc).
The Executive Lounge was a huge disappointment. I know we were there for the oh-so-crowded new years weekend, but it was a great surprise to be told at the arrival for the Coctail-hour that you could only stay for 1 hour (instead of the 3 hours that were advertised for the season). If the hotel has issues with the capacity of a lounge that guests have actually paid to use, the problem should be Hilton's and not shuffled over to the paying customers (why not open an additional area as well).
The biggest surprise, however, was the lack of integrity in the food they served.Compared to the Hilton in Tokyo Executive Lounge, the food here was bismal. There was a selection of foods, but nothing tasted nice (and we eat both Japanese and Western foods).
The breakfast at the main restaurant was better than the food served in the Executive Lounge, but still mediocre, at the best. Not what you'd expect at a 5 star hotel and a stay at Hilton. Thankfully we have other great experiences at other Hilton hotels.
To sum it up: beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, really nice and superfriendly staff - but the management need to do something about the food, and give the guest what they pay for.

"Old classic hotel in beautiful surroundings but its old and it shows. Back in the days people didnt bring phones, ipads and laptops so dont expect to find power sockets for your needs. Breakfast is superb but this hotel attracts big groups so its difficult to find a good time to eat breakfast without staying in a line for 20 minutes. Crowded. I was lucky to have a room with view over the old castle and lake. Very beautiful and only few minutes from historical events like the atomic bomb museum etc"
"Perfect location, close to the peace museum and main shopping street and restaurants. Hotel with lobby and bar at top floor. Nice and friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms. "
