«We had a lovely week at the cottage, only one point taken off for comfort as we found the sofas very low and tired, we are seniors and maybe that’s why we were needing firm seats. Our hosts were both friendly and helpful and we were intrigued by the amount of squirrels ðŸ¿ï¸ constantly removing nuts from the tree opposite this was very entertaining. The weather was very kind to us only saw one day of showers. We were warm and happy with our accommodation and the area which we know very well, we ...

«This was an excellent property, immaculate in fact, plenty of storage ,everything was spotlessly clean, modern and well maintained. Beautiful bedrooms , comfy beds, loads of storage again . Everything had been well thought out . Good enclosed garden great for our dog . Margaret the owner was very helpful , the property was in an excellent position for visiting the surrounding area and Kirk Hammerton itself was a beautiful village and we only wish we could have stayed longer !»

14. A family break that sleeps 5 guests in 3 bedrooms

York

«We felt very, very comfortable in this wonderful house. We were very kindly welcomed by Graham personally, so that no questions remained about practical things around the house. We further were equipped with a lot of very thoughtful personal recommendations for things to do in the area. The almost overflowing gift basket provided us with delicacies throughout the whole time! Overall, you could really see and feel that the house was decorated by a professional interior designer and invited you to ...
