The Space:
Rural Delight by Tiny Away is located in Ohaupo- Waikato Region, just 19 minutes from Hamilton and an hour's drive from Auckland. Nearby Waitomo Caves Tours, Bridal Veil Falls, Blueberry Country, and Hamilton Gardens are just a few attractions in the area.

A beautiful 139-square-foot tiny home situated in one of the best tiny house rentals in New Zealand with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers) for you to use.

We offer drinkable filtered water in a 1.5-liter kettle and provide one-liter bottled water in the fridge for your convenience. Please note that tap water is suitable for use in washing dishes and for showering purposes only.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surrounding areas. If you are interested, we also have rental bikes available for guest use. Please book directly with the host prior to your arrival.

Rural Delight by Tiny Away sits in a small town in the Waikato Region, just 19 minutes from Hamilton and an hour away from Auckland. It's one of the best tiny house rentals in Waikato, where you can explore farmlands, natural landscapes, and attractions.

- 54 mins drive for a shaded cave walk exploring Arunui Cave (no entry fee required)
- 50 mins drive for Blue Spring Putaruru (no entry fee required): An easy 4.7 km one-way trail but will keep your hours for the stunning photo shots

- Hamilton Gardens is Waikato's most popular tourist attraction, with enclosed gardens, open lawns, a lake, and a convention center.
- Mystery Creek is home to the annual field days event, which has previously hosted festivals, gala dinners, ceremonial events, and other events.
- Waikato Museum – Te Whare Taonga o Waikato provides a rich experience of the arts and culture of Hamilton and the Waikato region.
- Taitua Arboretum is home to an impressive selection of mature trees. Featuring lakes, woodland gardens, birdlife and ample picnic spots, the arboretum is perfect for a leisurely weekend stroll, family picnic, or a more active outing.

Festive Events:
- One Love Festival 2025: Join Aotearoa's ultimate reggae festival on January 25-26, 2025, at Tauranga Domain. The lineup features 46 acts, including international and iconic artists such as Maoli, Rebel Souljahz, Katchafire, and more. The festival will feature two stages—the main stage and an Aotearoa stage celebrating Kiwi music.

Getting Around:
By car:

- 10-15 min drive to Hamilton
- 14-17 min drive to Te Awamutu and Cambridge

By public transport:

- 5 min drive from Hamilton Airport or 1 hr and half drive from Auckland. Alternatively, public bus is available from Auckland Airport to Hamilton city about 1 hr 40 mins and 15-20 min drive to our property or tiny house.

Other Things to Note:
- Mobile reception is good
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking inside the tiny home, except in designated areas
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Dropping cigarette butts on dry grass can start a bushfire. Please put out your cigarettes properly
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
