About this space
Bearly Believable: dog-friendly, 6-person hot tub, and a huge upstairs master bedroom you have to see to believe.

We invite you to enjoy a very spacious 5-bedroom, 3-story home. Space for up to 14 guests (if some are children - see bedroom layout). Main floor dining, family room, 2 master bedrooms, a basement with a unique antique bar & game room with pool table, and games in the coffee table to allow kids and adults to play together or just relax on the cozy couches for a movie on the 70" TV.
The space
Bearly Believable and the entire Deep Creek and WISP area are truly our happy place! Garrett County and beyond have so much to offer 4 seasons a year.

Our family loves to travel, but we really felt like this was a place to call home.

We look forward to you making amazing family memories across all 4 seasons, be it skiing, snowboarding, sledding, hot tub'ing, boating, hiking, waterfall hunting, wining, dining, brewery’ing (is that a word?), thrift store exploring, and hopefully... napping.

Guests at the chalet will have full membership access to the swimming pool and basketball/gym at the CARC fitness center.

We sincerely hope you experience much of the same and more and we would love for you to return again for future stays.

Our house provides Seven (7) beds with more on the way. The bedrooms are all remarkably spacious.: 1 King, 3 queen bedrooms, & a queen and bunk bed room to allow friends and family to spread out comfortably.
*** Please look carefully at the room setup: the space can fit a maximum of 14 provided at least some are children.

Bedrooms and beds are plentiful, and the living room and large basement bar, and gameroom entertainment area leave plenty of space to roam.

The main dining table sits 8 with more if you use additional seats. 14 people for formal dining at the main table would not be possible if necessary for your trip.

Bearly Believable guests will be able to enjoy all the rooms in the full chalet in addition to the home’s hot tub views of Deep Creek Lake across the road and night skiing out on WISP Resort when the slopes are lit up.

The garage beside the home is for owner storage only at this time.

This we plan to change in the near future for extra play space.
Other things to note
Bearly Believable is Dog friendly. A collapsible crate and dog bowls available. There is a $100 pet fee "per dog / per stay" with a 2-dog maximum.

Please let us know when you book if you'll be bringing your pups so we can confirm and approve the size and breed.

We already fertilize our yard, please clean up after your dogs to keep your and the next guests shoes clean. There may be a charge if outside dog walk cleanup is not done as this is not included in our cleaning contract.

There is a strict NO SMOKING POLICY anywhere on the property at Bearly Believable. It is important to respect this because, if any evidence of smoking is found, you will be in jeopardy of being charged a large fee for both cleanup outside and smell remediation throughout the house.

Winter months at WISP are frequently gifted by ample snow and ice and we highly suggest, almost insist, driving to Bearly Believable in an * all wheel or 4-Wheel Drive vehicle* when visiting in the winter.

Additionally, and important to note, like many driveways in the area, ours is quite steep.

WHAT'S PROVIDED: Sheets & Towels, drip coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware, crock pot, outdoor gas grill, 1 hair dryer (upstairs bathroom), dog bowl's and crates, pet bowls of varying size, and bags for picking up droppings from dog walks or tethering on the lower deck.

Also provided are starter paper products, trash bags, dish soap, and laundry detergent.

WHAT TO BRING: Bath toiletries, specialty kitchen items and towels for hot tub or lake use. If you forget we have some available in the laundry room. Please wash and return them after use as those are also not covered in our cleaning contract.
