Weekend Getaway
Very cute, comfortable, and well put together cottage. Supplied with everything needed and some appreciated extras . Perfect location for all our hiking adventures from the south end to the north end of the park. Just 15 minutes from Bridge. Highly recommend the Bridge Walk! Hope to be back to the area with some friends and will stay at this cottage again!

Visit to three national park service sites
We were very pleased with the comfort and conveniences in A's Cottage. Not only was everything as described, but the extra's like movies to watch, snacks to enjoy, and a lovely outdoor space made the visit all the more enjoyable. Thank you!

Visit to New River Gorge
We loved our stay at this cottage. It was clean and comfortable and central to all the things we wanted to see and do in the area. Our Golden Retriever River had a great time in the fenced back yard. The extra treats and supplies that we discovered upon checking in were a nice touch.

Close to everything in a quiet neighborhood
We enjoyed our stay at A’s Cottage. The location was close to all the sites of The New River Gorge area. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood. The king bed was very comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. The snacks were a special treat. Check in was easy. Thanks for providing a comfortable place to stay.

Great stay in a great neighborhood
The house was very nice, the owners had left snacks & toiletries if needed, & it gave it a warm touch. We met the owner while in town & he was extremely friendly & lots of good recommendations. Everyone we encountered in town were very friendly as well. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

Fantastic experience!
It was like staying at a good friends house while they weren’t home. The gifts of snacks and water were welcomed up come arrival, the kids loved the plethora of games available, the place was well stocked with “oh I forgot!” Things like detergent, condiments, dish soap etc etc. plenty super soft towels, cozy furnishings, walking distance to coffee shop and 10 minutes to ACE. Even the binder of menus and things to do was appreciated.

Amazing
From just thinking about renting this house and having questions the hosts were so nice. Quick replies, nice and helpful. The house is amazing. They have thought of everything. All you need is to enjoy your stay. Even the gift basket was on point. This interaction, house and location made our mini vacation so relaxing and we didn't want to leave. Would very much recommend and would stay with them / their property again.

Great place near Ace Adventure !
We had a great family vacation at A's Cottage. The location was perfect: it was only about a 10 min drive to Ace, the reason for our trip. We loved that we could walk to local diners, the grocery store etc. Oak Hill is about 10 min from Fayetteville, a charming town w/ antique shops, coffee shops (I love Cathedral Cafe!), & more. A's Cottage was the perfect place for us to relax. We especially appreciated: the snacks they left us, the beach towels we could use at Ace, the back porch with fenced in yard, and the lovely, comfy quilts. One thing I feel obligated to share: If you're bringing your dog, be aware that there are 5 German Shepards on Washington St that may be unleashed, aggressive, & w/o an owner. I have nothing anything against the breed- our last dog was a sweet, gentle GS and we adored her. We also know this is beyond the owners' control. But after our experience, we feel we should share: My husband took our 40 lb dog for a walk. On Washington St, the 5 dogs were on the porch of their home. Three of them ran at my husband and dog, in attack mode (all they had been doing was walking). One of them bit our dog, not to mention terrified her. My husband is a big guy and was able to scream and eventually get them to back off and he & our dog got away. We told the owners & a K9 officer we ran into. The cop said they're well aware of the dogs and their owner. We'd hate for this to happen to anyone else. Maybe just avoid that street/area if you have a dog?

This is a perfect cottage for a weekend getaway. Quiet neighborhood with a dog park right around the corner. Grocery, coffee shop, and restaurants within walking distance. Short drive to new river gorge park or water activities.

Gateway to the New River Gorge National Park!
This was a terrific home away from home for us! The cottage had everything we needed to make our long weekend stay memorable. We were in close proximity to all of the activities we wanted to do in the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. A's Cottage was the perfect place to return to unwind and gear up for our next adventure. We enjoyed the large back porch and back yard, which our old pup liked exploring. We used the grill to cook a wonderful dinner. We were also within easy walking distance of a coffee shop and grocery store. We were thankful that we ran into one of the owners, Lenny; he couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful. I'm hoping we will return some day soon to the New River area and if we do, it will definitely be at A's Cottage!

a gem of a bungalow
One of the best, comfortable and amenity driven VRBO's I've ever stayed in. A wonderful backyard for the pooch(es) with a sweet firepit for evening s'mores and a kick butt grill and deck to unwind after a busy day adventuring. the property owners were kind and responsive and the house book contained all the information and more that you could need or want. Highly recommend!

New River Gorge NP Fall Getaway
The cottage was centrally located to everything we wanted to see. We really enjoyed our first trip to West Virginia. After hiking or sightseeing, this was a great place to come back to at the end of the day to rest and relax. The cottage had everything we needed to make our visit comfortable.

Fall Getaway
Met up with former neighbors to hike some of the trails in New River Gorge National Park. The rental was convenient to get to hiking trails as well as restaurants for dinner. There is also a grocery store nearby on Main Street. Very quiet location.

Just What We Needed!
A's Cottage had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. Remi & Weller loved the fenced in yard! We loved being able to walk to the grocery store and to the local cafe. Close to several trails within New River Gorge National Park. We had one rain day and it was nice to have a home-away-from-home to relax in.

Comfy little house near New River
My husband and I met our 2 friends and we enjoyed staying in this 2 bedroom house. It was clean and comfortable. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. Convenient to New River NP. Easy walk to downtown and a grocery store.

Cozy and close to northern New River Gorge!
This house was perfect for a weekend visiting the national park. The yard was bigger than we expected from the pictures and our dogs loved it. Cozy old house with a lot of beautiful personal touches and amenities from the hosts. Also only 15 minutes from a lot of the hiking in the Fayetteville region of NRG. Just a great stay all around!

Convenient location, cute cottage
My husband & I just d visited WVA to tour the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. We stayed at A's cottage. A convenient location for seeing the park. On a quiet street. I was a little concerned when I found out there were renters in building right at cottage & some apartment complex ( maybe for elderly) across the street. All was quiet though. We enjoyed sitting out on the back porch, relaxing. Had all things you would need in the kitchen,& nice having a washer & dryer. Easy check in with lock box with the keys. In walking distance to a couple of restaurants. The owners left snacks for us ay checkin, how very thoughtful. We had a great time & would definitely recommend this vacation rental to anyone in the area.

Such a charming home near lots of fun!
We had a great stay! The home is so charming and was perfect for our family of 4 plus our dog. It was so nice to have the back yard fenced in. We had everything we needed at the cottage and enough space to spread out. You will not be disappointed if you stay here! So close to Ace Adventure plus the New River Gorge Bridge and lots of hiking. We had the best time! We met the owner on the way out and he even took time to give our son some soccer tips, very friendly! Thank you so much for letting us stay at your cottage!

Great weekend in Oak Hill
Great place for our long weekend. We were in perfect position to climb in the New and Summersville. We ate dinner locally and in Fayateville. Appreciated the cleanliness of the property. The beds were comfy and it had all the kitchen accessories we needed to make breakfast everyday. The mud room was key for all our climbing/outdoor gear!

Wild & Wonderful!
We had the most fantastic stay in Oak Hill. Property was the cleanest we’ve ever experienced. Very impressed! Amenities were excellent and hospitality was top notch. We enjoyed the rail trail for evening bike rides, the former high school track for morning runs, and visited Ace Resort while guests here. We can’t wait to return as there is so much left we’d love to visit. Thank you!

New River Gorge Cottage
Even though this cottage is across from an apartment complex and behind a dog park, it is really quiet, as stated. The place was very clean and had plenty of amenities. The hosts were very responsive. The bed was very comfortable and the location is great if going to the New River Gorge National Park. I appreciate them allowing me to bring my dog, use their Netflix account, and check out later. I had a really enjoyable an relaxing vacation. Would definitely recommend.

This cottage fit the bill!
My husband and I (and our hound dog) spent 4 nights at this cute cottage. It was a great "home base" for exploring the New River Gorge NP, where we spent much of our time hiking. The fenced back yard was a bonus, and we enjoyed hanging out with our dog there around the fire pit. Would recommend!

Great Location for New River Gorge
Nice Cottage that was conveniently located for visiting the different parts of the New River Gorge National Park. We stayed four nights and visited the park multiple days along with visits to Beckley to see the Miner's Museum and Tamarak. Cottage was very clean and we appreciated the snacks and coffee provided by the hosts. For Breakfast, we recommend Cathedral Cafe in nearby Fayetteville. We ate there two days in a row.

Wonderful time near New River Gorge
A perfect and charming little cottage for us near New River Gorge. Our family of 5 and dog enjoyed staying at this house after spending our days out hiking the parks nearby. Pleasant retreat
We stayed at the cottage and enjoyed the nearby amenities the area had to offer. The location was quiet, clean and relaxing. The only thing negative to note is that if you have a smaller dog you will have to watch them in the yard as there are holes in the fence and places they can squeeze under it.

Cozy cottage convenient to area attractions
This cottage was just perfect for four people and a long weekend stay. The home was as depicted in the photos and is a convenient 20-30 minutes from Fayetteville and the NRG park. We enjoyed drinks on the deck and and sitting by the fire ring after our daily hikes and whitewater rafting adventure. The hosts provided amenities and left helpful tips on where to go and eat. We would definitely consider staying here again on future visits to this area. Thank you!

This was a wonderful little cottage for our family of five to stay in. We were impressed as soon as we walked in; it was nicer than we expected. The hosts paid attention to details; everything was in great condition and very clean. Our kids were surprised to find some Happy Hollister books which they enjoyed reading and a few games to play. Great location for white water rafting at ACE and visiting New River Gorge National Park. Hosts were quick to respond to a few questions we had during our stay. The only thing we hadn’t paid attention to in booking was that there is no dishwasher. Not a problem, just a note for other renters. We would stay here again and recommend it to other families.

Our New Spot!
We’ve been visiting WV every year for the last 5 years. We will look no further for the best accommodations for us! This place was great! It was clean, comfortable, close to everything, quiet, more “extras” than most! We met the housekeeper when we arrived (who was awfully sweet and helped us into the cottage). We will never stay at an overpriced mildew smelling cabin again-not when this is right around the corner! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!

Highly recommend this property! Everything you need for your vacation, Starbucks kcups, comfortable beds, extra ice, bikes, fenced in yard for your dog, walking distance to grocery store and did I mention CLEAN! I really have nothing negative to report and I admit I’m picky !
