Cozy Lakeside Cabin, All-Season, in Northwood, NH- 2 Bdr, great views

This lakefront, open-concept, two-bedroom cabin has a newly-renovated, fully-equipped kitchen with gas stove, microwave, and dishwasher. In addition, there is a large deck with great lake views and an outdoor gas grill. Both bedrooms have queen-sized beds with televisions. Clean towels, all bed linens, and comforters are provided. Enjoy the lake view with water access right on the property.

This location offers something for every season. In the summer, enjoy swimming in the lake at the private beach nearby, hang out on the spacious back deck overlooking the lake while cooking lunch or dinner on the outdoor gas grill provided, or take the canoe or kayak out onto the lake. In the Fall, enjoy spectacular views of the colorful foliage that is the hallmark of NH during this time of year. Then, during the Winter, enjoy the wonderland of snow-laden boughs. You can walk out onto the frozen lake, go snowshoeing, ice-fishing, or bring your snowmobiles to zip across the lake and check out the local trails. And in Spring, see the local flora and fauna reawaken. The Spring melt from the mountains cause the local waterfalls to swell. Take a trip up to the Flume Gorge or go hiking in Crawford Notch. Also, this is maple-sugaring season in NH, and you can get a look at local sugarhouses and maple syrup production.

The cabin is air-conditioned in the Summer, with individual units in each bedroom and a central unit in the main living area. During the Winter, enjoy the coziness and ambiance of a fire in the woodstove (wood provided), or just turn up the thermostat on the furnace. In the evenings, enjoy a campfire in the firepit overlooking the lake or relax inside with the big screen TV with streaming services available in the comfy living room. Indulge in serene, quiet nights and relaxing days. Also, enjoy local shopping on Antique Alley, or savor a great steak or seafood dinner from nearby Johnson's Restaurant (and don't miss their generous servings of homemade ice cream!) The cabin was very clean and cozy. It was nicely decorated but not too much.The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals. The beds were comfortable, the couch was clean and comfortable. The host communicated back and forth easily with us.The bathroom was a bit small, and a bigger individual may have difficulties sitting on the toilet. We fished 3 different days and only caught one pumpkin seed. If you are looking for more serious fishing, this pond didn't seem to have much. It was very beautiful and a nice relaxing setting.

A great cabin on a large pond. The outside amenities were spot on! The use of canoe for fishing was a huge draw for us. Inside was very clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The air conditioners were a huge plus as the weekend was still hot and humid. Kitchen was stocked better than ours at home! We will definitely be back.

Special Retreat

My husband and I just spent two absolutely fabulous weeks at this wonderful cabin in the woods on the lake! The cabin itself was not only comfortable, but clearly great care had been taken to provide all the little homey touches that made it so nice, especially a very serviceable kitchen with a lovely view of the water, comfortable air conditioning, and a lovely extension and deck with a picturesque view of the lake. I especially enjoyed the kayak provided, and spent many early evenings on the water enjoying watching a loon and a heron as they fished! It simply was peaceful, private … quite simply a perfect getaway!

We really enjoyed the kitchen as it was the best supplied I have ever rented. The high porch where we gathered any time of day was also a favorite. We appreciated all the amenities including sheets pillows, blankets, TVs in main three rooms, etc.

Lovely cabin by the lake

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One of the best equipped kitchens I've seen at a VRBO. Had the weather been warmer, I'd have loved to take out the canoe or the kayak or take a dip in the lake. Woodburning stove was amply stocked with firewood. Only downside--no laundry facility onsite.

A true coxy cabin in the woods

Great location. There are neighbors, but you feel like you are all alone. Perfect for relaxation by the fire. Would definitely go back.

Anniversary trip

Cute cabin! Great for a couple for a long weekend. Wonderful views with pond access and waiting kayaks/canoe. It was too cold to take advantage of them but great option! I was able to take some great scenic shots from the dock that is available. Crystal was great with any questions we had. Would recommend ♥️

Lakeside Getaway

Cabin is located on the water. It’s clean, warm and cozy. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the soft sheets. We didn’t really use the kitchen over the weekend, yet it has all you need. It was the perfect spot for us to spend time and enjoy a local wedding. Host was very responsive.

Cozy Clean Cabin

Cozy, extremely clean cabin snuggled up on a small hill from the lake. Fully furnished with anything you may need during your stay (linens, paper products, toiletries, firewood, etc). The kitchen is a cook's dream with pots, pans & implements galore, and fully stocked with high end tableware for eating. The kitchen table is on the small side, and as previously noted, bathroom is snug for larger size people. We enjoyed the outdoor deck and the indoor fireplace during our stay as well!

The cabin was great. Right on the lake and very relaxing. We enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed. The bathroom is very small was the only negative but it's a cabin in the woods on a lake. My grandson is already asking when we can go back.

Waterfront Cottage on Long Pond

Nicely situated with lakefront access and great views. We enjoyed the kayak and canoe. The cottage was perfiect for 4-adults. Found Long Pond to be more like a lake than a pond.

Rustic cabin on a quiet lake

If you are looking for a rustic cabin on a quiet small lake, then this is it. The kitchen/family room/hearth room provide a nice open space. Both bedrooms are cozy, but comfortable. The only surprise is the toilet, which is less spacious than the 737 we flew on. There is a canoe and kayak and everything to go on the lake, which we did. Nearby is a great brew pub and ice cream shop. Grocery stores are about 15 minutes away. It is very peaceful sitting on the outdoor porch as only small motorized boats (i.e. less than 10 HP) are allowed on the lake. Do note that there is no laundry on site, so we had to go into town.

Wonderful waterfront get-a-way

This is our 2nd time staying at the charming lake side cottage. We love everything about the place. The lake is so pristine and quiet....with its own pair of loons calling and a bald eagle diving down for fish. The hosts provide a canoe and kayak to navigate the forested shores and island. The house itself is nicely laid out with plenty of open space and a lovely deck overlooking the water. We will return again!

Great stay, would love to go back!

Had a great time staying at this cabin on the lake and this was a perfect size for the two of us. Enjoyed the quietness of the house and area. Location was good for making day trips to Franconia Notch and Flume Gorge, which was such a bonus! Communication with the host was good and she was responsive. The house was stocked well for our stay and was clean. Our trip was so amazing and this stay was such a key part of it! The checkout process was easy to follow and loved the 11am checkout. I would recommend to a friend and would love to come back.

Better than Portrayed

The cabin and Property are much nicer and larger than the pictures show. Everything was very clean, and the Amenities were plentiful. Especially enjoyed the porch, dock, and fire pit location. We would definitely stay here again.
