Joseph, let's be honest you were cranky and sore before you arrived and throughout your visit. You (not your wife) certainly made the top 2 on our list of guests we would prefer not to see back. You complained about the road and that it was dark when you arrived. I helped you carry your three big bags in at 1030pm - no thanks from you (the time you arrived - that's why it was dark, by the way). You arrived late, so the following day, I popped over to ensure everything was good. I said hey, good morning. The 1st thing you said was what's the wifi password - I said it costs $10 per day. You then went on this massive rant about owning a company for 40 years, then selling it for a million dollars, and charging $10 for the wifi was inappropriate in this day and age. You went on for quite a while complaining about it. All I could think about was my coffee was getting cold. If you recall, I gave you the password and received no thanks. The next thing you complained about was the beds. Wow. I can picture the palace you must live in back in Delaware, USA - it must be spectacular. We had a massive storm, and our area lost power. Regardless of your attitude, I offered for you to use our fridge and brought you over a cooler - still no thanks from you, but you made sure I knew you had spent $85 on food. (power was restored 3 hours later). You said you would light the propane stove top to heat the 1500 sqft house. That made no sense, so for safety and practical reasons, I came over and lit a fire in the actual fireplace for you - no thanks given. I received a phone call from your wife one night late in the evening asking if I had an iPhone charger you could borrow - I said sure, I'll get it to you tomorrow (we weren't going to be home till later). My 8-year-old boy dropped off the charger the following day. The charger was a little worn, but it worked. Joseph, regarding the TV, you are incorrect. It is advertised as "not" having one. You mentioned no "decent restaurants.” Nova Scotia, is beautiful and decent. Great restaurants are closer than you stated - the 1st one at 7.5 miles the next 3 at 8.6 miles - 14 miles puts you in a large suburb (Tantallon) with plenty of restaurants, and 24 miles puts you in the central city of Halifax population of 400,000 people. Your stated 30 - 40 miles is off. In Nova Scotia, we are intelligent and thoughtful, good ole down to, earth people who are kind. We care about others, even the irritable, cranky ones.
