This area was a gathering spot for rowdy commercial sailing captains that moved goods between Norfolk & Baltimore & an alleged meeting spot for Rum Runners in the 1920's. The space
A Coastal themed , 1,200 square foot 2-bedroom guest rental with custom wood trim crafted by Ship Artisans over 100-years ago. Large open kitchen with walk-in pantry

The cottage is a 2 bedroom rental with sleeper sofa. Each bedroom is equipped with a king bed, a sofa that pulls out into a comfortable sleeper sofa that sleeps 2. Three large screen smart TV's and laundry room. The laundry room and sauna is shared between the Beachfront rental and the Court-yard unit. Professionally decorated with full-size washer/dryer.

Even with a thorough modernization the property is a historical home that is now over 110 years old. It has some eccentricities that reflect building standards and designs from the turn of the last century that lends to its charm as an older beach cottage. The bathroom is not as large as what is found in modern structures and there is only a shower. The large laundry room is a shared one with the adjoining rental. Privacy is provided with locking doors.

Also found on the property is extensive outdoor seating areas, well kept grounds, professional landscaping, swings, water fountain, beachfront pergola with hot-tub, bocce ball pit, horse shoe pit, Jenga, beachfront grilling area with shower, sink with running water and more seating. Also provided are good quality beach umbrellas and chairs for guest use

Free kayaks are also provided. Liability waivers are uploaded to our guest and then the guest uploads it back to us. .

Guest access
A parking permit will be issued at check-in. It must be hung on the rear view mirror at all times while on the property. We cannot accommodate parking for the guests of visitors and they must park off-site

Proximate to I-64 Interchange. Centrally located in Region. We are a 1 hour drive to Colonial Williamsburg/Busch Gardens, 30 minutes to the Virginia Beach Resort, 15 minutes to Norfolk International Airport/Downtown Norfolk/EVMS/NSU/, and less than 10 minutes to Norfolk Naval Base, Old Dominion University, Hampton University, Veterans Hospital, and Little Creek Amphibious Base. Public transportation is limited. Car a must
Other things to note
We have created a beachfront vacation spot where you can soak in a hot tub that is on the beach while enjoying views of the Chesapeake Bay, sit on the sand with our good quality umbrellas and chairs, play Bocce ball court, pitch horse shoes at the horse shoe pit, build a tall structure with Jenga, and enjoy the many seating areas whether it is on our various decks or next to our water fountain of Poseidon. Catch fish and crabs from our beach and use our beachfront outdoor recreational kitchen to cook them.

The Beachfront cottage is part of a 5-unit beach resort property that we operate

Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside of the property but we have cigarette buckets along the exterior as smoking is permitted outdoors. Maximum setting for Air Conditioning is 71-degrees. Maximum heat setting is 76 degrees

We also have free kayaks too but a Waiver of Liability form will need to be initialed and executed by all adults that will be using the kayaks (minors are not to use kayaks). If you would like to use this equipment please message me with your email address and names of all adults that will be using it. I will send the agreement to you by Docusign. Once you sign and initial in all of the spaces provided and the completed form is sent to me I will then provide you with the lock code to unlock the kayak and provide a paddle to use
