«We were shocked as we were driving up the driveway...we were not expecting the Inn to be so awesome! The view of the place is excellent! The view to the front of the mountains were fabulous! «Nantucket Inn has moved right to the top of our favorite bed and breakfast stays. Check-in was easy and cordial, and we received some excellent restaurant recommendations. Our room was one of the smaller (the smallest?) at the inn, but perfectly adequate for two, and perfectly clean. We had fresh cookies waiting for us on the nightstand. «When we arrived, the host was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. There was free water and coffee provided. Two complimentary glasses of wine and beer were also included. Our room was charming and the bed was comfortable. We selected the room with an attached bath and was so worth the privacy. «What a wonderful stay! We were warmly welcomed, given detailed recommendations for dinner in Chase, and then able to enjoy the outdoor space that evening. «We never saw any staff..they left an envelope on an outside board for us to get into the room. We were assigned an upstairs room with steep stairs and no elevator. We are in our late 70's and it was a chore taking our suitcases and belongings up these stairs. I knocked on their door to the main house to complain, and they never answered the door. «The owner, Brian was caring and wanted to make sure we had a good time. He was helpful and gave you enough attention without hovering. He was kind and a great host. His breakfasts were absolutely yummy and wonderful. Brian was accommodating and able to change my breakfast when what he was serving would have reacted negtivly with my medication. He was a wonderful host and we would recommend him and stay there again.»

«In that beautiful, natural setting, we felt remote, yet we were just a few minutes outside of Friday Harbor. Our room was lovely, comfortable and well-appointed. The bedding and furniture were high quality--right down to the blinds that allowed in light and air while still providing privacy.
