«The property is certainly eclecticly decorated with what I am sure is an interesting history. The owners and staff - likely family or relatives - are enthusiastic and clearly customer focused. The restaurant is clearly the one favoured by all the friendly locals, always a great sign. «Couldn't ask for more. We've stayed at about a dozen different cottages in northern Ontario and Lakeside Cottages in Bruce Mines is the best. The beds are comfy, the price is reasonable, the cottage comes fully stocked (no upcharge for bedsheets like some places!!!), the kitchen is full and also stocked (salt and pepper and oil and coffee!!!), the cottages are clean and pretty, the view is amazing, the firewood is onsite and included (not $20 for a tiny bundle like some places...), reasonable ...

«My family had an amazing stay at The Shores of Deer Lake. The property was clean and quiet. There was a lot of space for my daughter and dog to play. Having the lake as our backyard was amazing. Bonus.. there was the perfect little beach just steps away from our door. The water was warm and calm enough to canoe and kayak in.
