«It's in a convenient location near the freeway and within walking distance of their old town if you want to walk a bit. Prior to the trip I already knew it was self check-in and there would be no front desk, etc so that was fine. It's like staying at a bnb where you are given a code and you let yourself in your room. The room was pleasant and recently renovated. I liked the colors and layout. It's a good place to stay with pets.»

«This review will most likely never be posted. I made the reservation through a third party travel site. When I checked in I asked if AAA or AARP or other affiliations would mean a discount. I was told NO as they only provided discounts for reservations that are made directly with Granzellas and they gave me a scan code to use next time. We like the hotel and location. Next time I will contact the hotel directly.»

«Since we had a tire problem on the road, we were unable to make it to Susanville. I was unable to reach either Expedia or the motel. Calling the motel put me into a loop with "Justin". I expect to get charged for the night but it is unacceptable that I couldn't let the motel know I would not be there. Expedia's web site required my password even though I had the itinerary #. Very poor!»

«Unfortunately this motel is right next to the highway and therefore there were many, many bugs (beetles, cockroaches, flies) both inside and outside of our room, and on the bed. Although the staff were super helpful, we looked at the various seams in the wall (inside of our room) and saw bugs coming in and out of them. So, this stay is not for the faint of heart. Also at 9:30 AM there was no “breakfast” to speak of, just a single takeout box of donuts on the counter.»

«When we arrived, we were assigned a cabin without a stove but the manager quickly rectified it. However, we were only supplied a small saucepan and no cooking utensils. We did have dishes, an oven mitt, one mixing bowl, silverware, and mugs and cups. The shower had 2 settings: ice cold or scalding hot. «We had no good experience with this place. The cottage wasn't ready even when we arrived late. The next day the shower wasn't working and we had no hot water for a long while. We were traveling with a toddler so the lack of water made everything more complicated. «We booked this amazing place last minute when the weather at the campgrounds turned and it could not have been more perfect. Close to Lassen, plenty of space, and very dog friendly (though we didn’t have our dog). Communication was amazing; our last minute booking led to some confusion in the system but the owner, David, was super responsive and accommodating. We stayed here with our 3 teenagers and it was spacious and clean. We’d stay here again next time we visit Lassen. »
