«We had a wonderful stay! Tyler was great - helped with places to eat, welcomed us and communicated throughout our stay. Room is soooo comfortable, with a table next to the window to look out over the ocean. Same view from the extraordinarily comfy bed. Super clean with lots of amenities. Great location too for walking to the water and nearby trails. Breakfast was one of the best I've had - poached egg on sourdough, pear with anise, oatmeal with blueberries and OJ. «Okay - speaking as the wife of a train buff, staying here as a birthday surprise was a no brainer. The question was - would I regret it? Is a vacay stay in a caboose comfortable or just kitschy? It was a blast. The grounds are gorgeous. The view? Clear Lake! What’s not to like? A fun pool on campus (with abundant floats - I was big on the giant pink flamingo) and access to stand up paddle boards and kayaks for the lake.
