We absolutely loved our overnight stay at the Niantic Inn. The location is fantastic, with wonderful shops and restaurants all within walking distance. The guest rooms are located in a separate three-floor building behind the office. There is no elevator, so if you have mobility concerns or heavy luggage, I recommend requesting a first-floor room. They are happy to assist with bags if needed.
Brooke at check-in was incredibly helpful, especially on a busy Valentine’s Saturday. She offered thoughtful restaurant suggestions and even looked up and wrote down the phone number for her top recommendation. Unfortunately, they were fully booked, but we appreciated the effort.
We reserved a king room, which was spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated with a breezy seaside feel. The bed was very comfortable. The Valentine’s touches were charming, including towel swans, silk rose petals, and decorated coffee cups with flowers on the tray. Small details like wine glasses, a corkscrew, extra towels and blankets, and plenty of outlets made the stay even better.
There was also a snack bag at check-in, and the office offered sundries and locally sourced gifts. It is truly a quaint, welcoming inn and the perfect home base for exploring Mystic and Niantic.
