If you’re planning to stay at this hotel for the waterpark, Think twice! We booked a one‑night weekend stay with our kids and paid the higher weekend rate, expecting full access to the waterpark. At check‑in, staff explained the schedule but never mentioned any closures. On the first day, we were suddenly told the waterpark would close early for a private event. It was inconvenient but manageable since it was already late.
The real problem came on Sunday. We checked out at 11 AM and were told we could still use the waterpark afterward. Instead, at 11:30 AM, they shut it down until 5 PM for another private event—two closures in the same weekend. Our kids were disappointed, and we had planned our stay specifically around enjoying the waterpark.
When we asked the front desk, they said their policy allows them to close the waterpark whenever they want and that the information is “somewhere on their website.” They also told us that because we booked through Expedia, they couldn’t help us. The attitude felt dismissive, and they didn’t seem concerned about guest experience at all.
There was no prior notice, no signage, and no apology. After contacting Expedia—who were very supportive—the hotel claimed they had informed guests ahead of time and that the events were scheduled months earlier, which simply wasn’t true.
We paid extra for a weekend stay and lost the main reason we booked. The lack of transparency and customer care made the experience even worse.
