Please note this listing is for the boat to stay at the dock as a floating camper. It is available for rent as a navigable houseboat through the marina. The tiny houseboat is a single level open studio style space in a private end slip at Straight Creek marina.
Very quiet and peaceful area. It's ideal for guests looking for a budget friendly place to relax on the water.
If you are super picky or expecting the Ritz then this place isn't for you. It is extremely minimal and very basic.
There is a full-size pull out platform with a futon style mattress.
It has been in a protective zippered waterproof cover since new and also has an extra zippered cover.
Linens provided and pillows provided that have zippered covers on them.
BATHROOM: Cabin style bathroom with a brand new Incinolet incinerator toilet. It’s just like opening a regular toilet except it incinerates the waist and basically operates like a dryer. You are responsible for cleaning up after each bathroom use and resetting to toilet. It’s extremely easy to operate, but if this is an issue for you, please do not book.
Guest also have access to the 24/7 bathrooms at the marina. It’s very close. located on the same slip row!
Have you ever been camping??? You know how when you go camping and you need to use the bathroom, you walk to the bathhouse in the campground. This place is exactly like that. Think of it as a primitive floating camp site and you won’t be let down! If you are not OK with the bathroom situation then this place is simply not for you.

The marina is very helpful. There is a store that sells drinks, snacks, supplies .

The place has Shore power/modern electricity/power outlets.
Cold A/C unit and warm heater.
Guests are asked to bring bottled water for drinking and hand washing. The sink passes through and you are able to use it to wash your hands. Grey water only.
The marina does have snacks/drinks during business hours only. (this can be limited during certain times/seasonal)
Reminder: No cleaning fee if you agree to the following.
(If you do not agree to the following you can add $150 to the total for your stay for a cleaning charge.)
Think about it: this place is literally floating on the water. You should treat it like a camp site.
This means You MUST pick up after yourself and you MUST be willing and able to clean the bathroom after yourself after each use. You must tidy up and remove the trash/waste when you leave/check out!
Simply picking up after yourself allows me to not charge a cleaning fee and keep a low rate for you!
If you are not able or willing to pick up after yourself then please do not book.
No strong odors, it’s a small space, please be conscious of odors, sprays, sents,smells.. no candles allowed and no burning of incense is allowed.
No pets allowed.
No smoking allowed of any kind. This is a non smoking property. Available 24/7 to assist with anything!
You have the place all to yourself!

Please keep in mind before booking that the accommodations are comfortable but very simple!
It's clean but does have characteristics of an older home. The place is dated but kept very clean and sanitized.
If this in an issue please pass on the place.
No cleaning fee means keeping a light footprint during your stay and picking up after yourself and please be willing to tidy up and remove all trash/waste when you leave.
Please do not book if you are not willing to clean up after yourself.
The place is surrounded by heavily wooded areas. The occasional bug is bound to fly/sneak in every once in a while. I use window traps. They work great . Treat it like a campsite!

No heavy smells, perfumes, no burning in sense/no candles. There will be a $100 fee or more assessed through vrbo claims if there are any smoking odors left behind from smoking in or smoking on the property or leaving any sort of paraphernalia inside or outside of the property. If you were caught smoking, you will be asked to leave in. Your trip will be terminated immediately. No smoking is allowed please if you are a smoker do not book this place.
Seriously... if you are super picky, messy or not willing to pick up after yourself please do not inquire because this place isn’t for you.
