Good: The hotel was absolutely amazing considering the relatively low price per night. Everything had a classy but modern feel to it and was pristinely clean. The room appeared to be freshly renovated: I have seldomly experienced such clean bathrooms and well-working amenities in a hotel. Staff was always friendly and mostly helpful. Garden district and French Quarters are within 15-20min walking distance. Could be improved: 1) The hotel bar is nice , but glasses instead of plastic cups would be preferred in a hotel of this class. 2) We were three people in a large room. Despite repeated reminders, room service regularly took our 3 bath towels but only gave us two new ones, so each afternoon we had to get one more from the front desk. 3) The staff in the breakfast room was quite slow. Some additionally seemed to struggle with the English language. On one day, buffet couldn't be served due to renovations and the a la carte breakfast was overpriced. 4) Overall, there was a lot of renovation going on during our stay, although it only minorly impacted us. For examples, doors were freshly painted, the roof-top terrace was inaccesible, and one of two elevators was temporarily unavailable. 5) WiFi required a new log-in every day. 6) During our stay, the drain in the bathroom clogged up. The front desk didn't take any steps to fix this all day and the evening shift at the front desk hadn't even been informed that there had been an issue. 7) Parking at the hotel is very expensive.
