Everything is so walkable and with the St. Charles Ave. Streetcar diagonal from the building, getting around town is easy peasy. We couldn't agree more that The Little Easy is a great little neighborhood bar & grill, with fun games and activities nightly and on Saints' Dome Game Days. I'm sure The Little Easy was reasonably quiet during the week, but on Saints' game days, they have quite the neighborhood watch party with games and prizes and I hear those spill over to the sidewalk with fun. How nice you described in detail the interiors of the condo, but you left out all of the original exposed brick, as part of the New Orleans charm. Yes, we have all the modern conveniences of granite countertops, all stainless high end appliances, including a full size front loading washer and dryer, because, who knows, when eating all the scrumptious foods here, you might get a little on your clothes and probably want to get that washed before you get home. There are many attractions and restaurants close by, WWII Museum, 3 blocks away, but you are right, the GREEN Streetcars are just at the corner and can get you around town to other locations or taqke the St. Charles green streetcars as your self-guided and inexpensive ( $1.25 cash only ) tour through the Greek Revivals and Mansions in the Garden district. Uber / Lyft / taxi are readily available here, too. We eat at the Little Easy at least once a week and any of the pressed po'boys they make are so flavorful. Since this is a historic building, we do have to leave several items as they were or if replacing and repairing, it all has to be back to original woodworking skills of that time period. The original staircase is in the entry with the exposed brick wall and the original floor to ceiling windows are still the weight and pulley working windows with the aged, wavy glass. We were happy to work with your unique needs, and hoped that the products used were not overwhelming to you. It is hard to find any cleaning and disinfecting products that are all unscented. We did leave the main entryway as original as it was to the building, including the Grande Staircase, but the convenience of an elevator behind the staircase sure beats dragging luggage up the 15 steps. This building is in the Arts District of New Orleans and is an 8 block walk to the French Quarter, but only 3 blocks to the WWII Museum. We do have so many places to ear within 3 blocks any way you go, including a local grocery store. We were elated you chose to stay with VacayNOLA while visiting New Orleans.

It is nice to have the contemporary decor and upscale finishes like solid wood cabinets, granite counter toops and top of the line Bosch appliances for your use. We also kept with the times to add back marble in the bathrooms. It is a lot of work for the housekeepers and building and grounds team to keep up with cleaning of the many original touches of this corner of St. Charles Ave & Julia. Sometimes, the distance to the French Quarter is not so bad, because we have so many of the best restaurants about 3 blocks down Julia, starting at Camp St all the way to the Mississippi River, 8 blocks to the east.
