Yes, it is 8 blocks away from Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, but that is a quick walk there or one block over to Carondelet will get you to the green streetcars that take you up to Canal. Walking is the best way to get around in New Orleans yet Uber, Lyft taxi's and even pedi-cabs are readily available. Walking to so many of the attractions in the downtown New Orleans area is not far at all. Even better that the iconic St. Charles Green Streetcar is at this corner for a nice ride throughout the Garden District, or back up to Canal, to ride the Red Streetcar out to City Park and take in all of those sights. I love that you say " still very close to the action if you want to be a part of it" because sometimes staying in the French Quarter can be very noisy with the trash or delivery trucks at 4 AM, just when you get to sleep after some of the chaos that can go on in the FQ. We sure appreciate all they do to keep not only the condos clean inside, but also the surroundings of the building interiors. That great little place on the Julia Street side bar & grill is The Little Easy, great pressed po-boys, to split for a snack or whole as a full meal. Just curious, did you see 90-Day Fiance couple, Jovi & Yara there the week you were here? They came back by to show Brian, the Little Easy owner, the baby, and NO, I'm not saying what they had! Aren't those pedi-cabs the best? Especially in the spring, I think you can see, hear and feel more of New Orleans, the trees, flowers and taking time to look all around on the search for all the beads from Mardi Gras past hanging off the lightpost, trees and more. We are so glad you were able to have a vacation away from your "tourist hometown". It's hard to talk you through how to work the remotes when not in person, but we figured out one of the problems was the cable equipment is scheduled for an upgrade, since it is about 4 years old. I'm glad the internet was working for your phones to be able to see what turned out to be a nothing TS Marco and Hurricane Laura, although, she decided she wanted to head west and visit the LA TX coast instead. All the best for our friends, neighbors and guest living in that area that they will be safe. Should you ever need a place to evacuate to from a hurricane cone of uncertainty, we will be here. We have lived through many a storm and New Orleans is a resilient town with genuinely helpful and caring residents. I mean, with our food, the love shows through! Hope you were able to get your fix of our unique foods and beverages while here. We always leave a few beverages in the fridge, it's good to get unpacked and walk in and grab a cold beverage from the fridge, like you would do at home. And yes, we leave you with many items not found in other condos or hotels, extra paper products; toilet tissue, coffee filters, creamers, sugar, dish washing detergent and laundry supplies, to get you through your first night, at least and in your case probably your entire stay!
