The first night of my stay was fine, but unfortunately the second night was very disruptive.
I completely understand that kids will be kids. I was young once too but the level of noise was excessive, especially knowing I had to be up at 6:00 a.m. for work. Around 9:45 p.m., there were several children running and screaming in the hallway. I contacted the front desk and was told quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m., but someone would come by to address it.
Ten minutes later, the noise continued. From my bed, I could clearly hear loud laughter and screaming, and I even have a recording that shows how disruptive it was from inside the room. When I called again, I was told the children had moved into a room and were no longer in the hallway, but the noise level remained the same. I was then offered a room change.
I was moved to another room at 10:45 p.m. With a 6:00 a.m. wake-up time, the disruption made it difficult to settle down, and I didn’t fall asleep until around midnight. Unfortunately, I overslept and arrived at work later than expected.
We typically stay at this hotel when visiting our Connecticut office, but after this experience, I will likely explore alternative accommodations for future trips. I do appreciate the front desk offering to move my room, but I do think situations like this should be handled more proactively, especially for business travelers during the week.
