Nice Ranch Style House 300 ft from the lake.

The house is immersed in a small community that makes you feel like in heaven. The access to the beach is easy and it’s ideal for relaxing and recharge batteries.

Loved the location. You could walk 2 min to the private beach- rocky and sand. We also checked out some of the local public beaches that were a short drive. The house great. The basement was perfect for the kids.

Lovely stay for a quick getaway

A couple buddies and I stayed here to getaway from Chicago for the weekend. This location was clean and taken care of. Great location with lots to do all around, even in the cold months.

Pleasant Stay!

Great location--within walking to the beach and short driving to casinos! Very spacious, great central heating and smart TVs in practically every room to stream on! Would definitely do off season here again!

Love the location. Could walk to small rocky beach. There were some cleaning and maintenance issues but Vacasa was very responsive. Well appointed kitchen. Hot tub was nice. Fire pit and grill needed to be moved out of the garage to use. The kids had the best time in their special area. They loved the bunk beds and there was a whole closet full of toys First time staying in the area. Less than 5 miles to New Buffalo beach.

Great rental

Newly renovated, clean, well equipped home. Close to a small community beach which has nice access to Lake Michigan although wish it was more sand and less rocks/pebbles we loved the more private location compared with the public beaches. Would rent again!

Great Stay!

What a great family vacation. Loved the layout of the house and all it had to offer. Just a short walk to the water down some stairs with a beautiful view and privacy. Its a small beach but we only ran into one other family half our time there and the rest of our time we had it to ourselves. There is also surrounding public beaches just a short drive away if that's more your style. "Beach front" was the main thing we were looking for and this was the perfect find.

Worth the price

Minor issues which included a missing remote from one of the bedrooms, soap dispenser that fell off of the shower wall and loose bricks on the front step. Otherwise overall great property. Be aware that this property is not right on the beach like the pictures make it appear.

Needs some improvements

The house has a great layout for a larger group with ample sleeping area. It just needs a little love to bring it up to 5 stars. The beds are extremely hard, the kitchen needs a deep clean and instructions on where the breaker boxes are would be helpful

Great Location, Wonderful Home

When the home we booked unexpectedly was no longer available, Vacasa quickly offered us two other options to insure our trip was not interrupted. Great customer service! The home was excellent for our family. Basement kid sleeping/play area was perfect for play, and provided a separate area for earlier bedtimes. Hot tub was nice and warm when we arrived! Private beach in walking distance of the home and a great park! Would definitely stay in Grand Beach and this home again.

Perfect location

We really like this property. The proximity to the beach was amazing and we loved that there was like a designated kids area to refrigerator, lots of TVs that we could watch for the Olympics. My only caveat is that it is extremely mildewy in the lower level. Please add some more lighting around the bedrooms, and bath fans are essential!

Great last minute getaway before our kids go back to school.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. This was our first time staying in this area. We normally spend our summers in Grand Haven or Holland. This porperty had everything we were looking for and close to places we wanted to go. The neighborhood is wonderful and peaceful. The walk to the beach was easy and we had the beach to ourselves. It was nice to watch the sunset, but it was hard for our kids to swim due to all the rocks. The tub hot made up for the beach. We would definitely rent this property again.

Calm and spacious

The house had plenty of space. Lots of windows abs bright light during the day. The hot tub was clean and hot and plenty of towels to go around. Over all it was a good space and could easily house a family. Each room has its own thermostat, which was nice. We came on a colder Weekend and there were not any extra blankets so that could have been helpful. There were a few things that needed to be cleaned up around the property from the winter but overall it was a good experience.

Great space and close to the beach

This place looks newly remodeled and is a 5 minute walk to the beach. We went on an 80 degree day and there were only 2 other families. An additional beach option is New Buffalo beach which is only a 5 minute drive (with lots of parking). The kids loved the basement and immediately claimed it as their room. We had 5 people and had plenty of space. We easily could have shared with another family. We will definately stay here again.

Many pros! Beach! Some comfort drawbacks

Positives: - Location is perfect: steps away from a small private beach!!!! So easy to return to the house for lunch or a bathroom break - nice private hot tub - Amazing kids retreat in the basement- double bunks, stuffed animals, cute tent. - Adirondack chairs - cute IKEA mid century modern decor Negatives: - minimal TP, paper towels, garbage bags, shampoo (vacasa apparently only gives enough to get you started) - no vacuum - no dresser to put away clothes - minimal kitchen condiments such as salt/pepper - older kitchen and bathrooms - older/musty smell in kitchen and basement

Was told there would be a golf cart there was not. Tile in bathroom was chipping away and paint in whole house was chipping away. Could see where had a water leak at time in basement ceiling tile was water stained. Toilets didnt flush, Sink in basement would drain. House could use some updating. Couch in basement was broken.

Nice.. ideally located gateway

The sunset house appropriately met the vacation plan I had - to get away from the city and do nothing in a nice quiet place. It is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood right next to a private beach. It was great to see the sunrises and sunsets on the calm lake. The house itself is well appropriated and spartan. This isn't a 'luxury' rental, but is optimally functional and well furnished with nothing wanting. The hot tub was a great addition to being able to enjoy the spring nights. I kept looking for the firepit that was not there. The home lacks mirrors ( barring the one in the main bath). But these are minor improvement suggestions - overall the home is amazing and I'd probably come back soon.
