Escape to ten private acres in Bitney Springs, just outside Grass Valley, where wide lawns, shady trees, and a peaceful pond set the stage for your getaway. Relax on the gracious deck, enjoy open space for outdoor play, and retreat to a three-bedroom, two-bath country home that blends rustic charm with modern comforts. Free early check-in and late check-out give you extra time to unwind, and the historic towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley, along with the Yuba River, are only 15 minutes away.

Built in the 1960s, the home features hardwood floors throughout and an open layout connecting the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The well-appointed kitchen has everything needed to prepare a gourmet meal, while the dining area is perfect for festive dinners or lively game nights. The living room includes a large screen TV, while high-speed internet is available throughout the house for both entertainment and remote work. A propane stove provides a cozy focal point during cooler months, and in summer the house stays comfortable with a wall AC unit in the living room and ceiling fans throughout.

The bedrooms feature cozy, comfortable beds that ensure a restful night’s sleep, accompanied by the soothing sound of the creek outside the windows. The primary bedroom offers a king bed and private bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third includes two twin beds. A portable crib is available for families, and the family bathroom includes both a tub and shower. In the living room, a pull-out sofa bed provides extra space for additional guests.

French doors open to spacious decks designed for outdoor living, with a high-performance Weber grill ideal for barbecues or sunset dining. Step outside to shady trees, a peaceful pond for catch-and-release fishing, and disc golf in the pasture. Guests can unwind at their own pace while children have room to play.

This is a beautiful property. The home is lovely and the yard area was wonderful for our dogs. The kitchen is the most well stocked I have ever seen in a rental property. There are plenty of spices and all the pots and pans you could need. Host is very helpful and accommodating while the on site caretakers were very friendly. We highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic quiet location with lots of outdoors

My wife and I had a fantastic 4th of July at this location. Picnic outdoors by the pond was wonderfully peaceful and private.Owners have the place well stocked. Every thing we needed / expected was easily found.We will definitely return!

Awesome place to host a Thanksgiving family reunion for 16. Absolutely no issues, plenty plus more of everything needed. We brought things we didn't end up needing. When we are back in Grass Valley we will be renting again!

Keri was so welcoming and generous with her space. Felt at home and was cozy to come in from the cold to a warm inviting space. The kitchen is fully stocked which is so helpful. The backyard is a dream. Such a sweet spot, loved it!

Beautiful setting and fun shopping!

We came to stay here on our girlfriends' trip, and this was a great house with a nice area to sit outside with a view of the pond, trees, and swing. There was 3 bedrooms so we each had our own bedroom. We enjoyed the variety of coffee's with the Naspresso machine and also the wide variety of teas that were provided. A very nice touch! It was a short ride to downtown Grass Valley where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast/lunch at Toffenelli's. We walked around all the cute stores and bought a nice variety of sweaters, beautiful scarfs, unique items etc. Overall, a really nice getaway spot if you like to be in a beautiful setting and close to fun shopping. The hosts were very gracious and attentive. Great communication. Thank you!

Dreamy!

We had an amazingly relaxing and dreamy stay at this home. The grounds are beautiful. My kids and dog felt like they dropped in to a Tom Sawyer novel while floating on a raft across the pond. The blackberries where divine. The front porch I had to convince myself to leave and remember that I had a family event to attend. The kitchen had everything a person would need to host a gathering plus it was all soo easy to find. I took notes on the placement and supplies it was soo easy to use. The host was easy to commuicate with and the caretaker helpful.

Home is Wonderful!

My Husband, Grandson, and I visited Grass Valley and came for the Celtic Festival. We stayed at this home and very much enjoyed it. We love the beautiful dining room table. We were able to really spread out and play risk with our Grandson. We also loved the propane fireplace. It kept us very warm. My Husband used the grill and that worked out great. The kitchen is very well stocked. We also loved the Nespresso coffee maker and the pods provided. We had never used one before but now we plan to buy one. We would like to thank the owners for sharing their house with us. We hope to visit again one day.

Amazing retreat to relaxation!

We had an amazing stay! The kids loved the swing and playing in the yard while we relaxed on the back porch. We came to get away from the usual busy routine. It was exactly what we were looking for to relax. They had tons of board games for the kids, nature outside, and just a quick drive to south yuba river or grass valley for wine tasting and shopping. The aunt on the property was very kind and brought us amazing fresh fruit from the garden. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The perfect combo of updated fresh amenities without losing the character and charm in the home. The house had everything we needed and was a very comfortable stay. We were all very sad to leave.

Beautiful setting and great people

The home and grass and pond are absolutely wonderful. My film partners and I (and my dog) were truly enchanted with the place and the people. We were warmly welcomed and cared for, and I hope to visit again soon! There is some road noise; the master bedroom is the quietest of the bedrooms, and also has the best ventilation. Really a great experience to stay there; the Nevada City area is very special to begin with, this is a wonderful, special place in Nevada City. Great place, great family that owns the place. great experience.

One Incredible Vacation Home

My husband and I took our 13 and 15 year-old grandchildren to this lovely home for a week. First, it's a home for all seasons. We were there in mid June but would love it in the fall, winter or spring. The home is well designed so different ages had their own space. While the kids slept in, we enjoyed our coffee in the little sitting area off the kitchen. When awake the kids were often found fishing at the lake and phones were put on the back burner. Our 13 year-old commented on how quiet it was and he lives in a pretty quiet neighborhood. Uninterrupted sleep is almost guaranteed or at least we found it so. We've rented vacation homes for a number of years, but we've never had one that was so well equipped. They had everything we needed in the kitchen and more. Think a Kitchenaid mixer! The VRBO pictures do not do justice to how beautiful the home and lake area are. I can see a special event being held here. The multi-level deck was beyond lovely. Another great point is it's a single-level home with easy access to the deck and beyond. The owner and care taker were always available if we had a question. Bring groceries because once there you won't want to leave!

Froggy Pond Joy and Laughter!

If you have the opportunity to rent this home- BOOK IT NOW! Our sweet family returned to Nevada City, where our children grew up; it was most delightful. We love to cook, play games, enjoy the river, and treasure the time on the lawn visiting and rafting the pond! The hosts were kind; they created a most joyful and comfortable space! We are grateful for their hospitality, privacy and environment to be present with the loves of our life under a warm and inviting rooftop of trees and home. Thank you!

Fabulous place to stay

We had a wonderful time and have never stayed in such a well equipped house before. The kitchen had everything, plenty of inside and outside games, a raft for floating on the pond, plus a hilarious zip line. The owners are amazingly generous with what they offer and it’s obviously been a much loved home in their family. The caretaker was kind and informative which we appreciated. It’s a gorgeous setting and if we are renting in the area again, we will certainly try to stay here. Beautiful house and grounds.

Effortless Enjoyable

Such a great spot. It is obvious that this is a well loved home that the hosts are kind enough to share openly, and not a place where all the good stuff is locked away. We stayed for Thanksgiving and it was more enjoyable than challenging to put together a feast in this kitchen. It was larger and at least as well equipped as our own. Our kids were endlessly entertained by the lovely grounds, the games, and a well tuned piano and guitar. Solid relaxing times!

Sweet family friendly property
