Lovely little cottage! Clean, tastefully remodeled, simple. Pleasant 15 min walk to the restaurants and bars in downtown Nevada City.

What great little cabins. Old and a little warn, but very clean, cozy and quiet. As a female visiting the area by myself, felt very safe. Beautiful hiking 2 blocks away. Staff was very helpful and available.

Piety Hill Cottages is a cute adorable place. Our room had been refurbished and it was a nice place to stay while visiting Nevada City. Only about .6 miles from downtown making it a good walk to start your day. Thank you Piety!

Room needed some repairs (peeling wallpaper, microwave plate not spinning etc) and renovations (curtains not blocking the morning sun) but it was a cute and quaint place. I’d consider going again because the location is very convenient. Check in was clear and easy. Lots of nice parking.

The first two nights we stayed in Cedar cabin which is large and renovated - super comfortable, loved the simple modern decor. The couch wasn't comfortable though. The bed was super comfy. I made a booking mistake and the staff was able to accommodate us in one of their unrenovated cabins - very cozy and had everything we needed. It was run down but clean and comfortable. We LOVED our stay at Piety cottages and the staff are great.

Disappointed
Cute but not as pictured. Room was very small no room for luggage or anything else. Bathroom was so small that average sized person had to leave door open use it. Kitchenette was definitely not functional. Refrigerator would hold almost nothing the little space didn’t even have a light. Not worth price.

Hi there Paul, we are sorry you were not happy with your stay! Daphne cottage is our most conservatively sized cottages so we understand that it didn't feel quite spacious enough for you. If you ever find yourself back in Nevada City we'd love to invite you back to try one of our larger rooms!

Spacious cottage. Great if you need a full kitchen. Really sleeps 4 with the trundle bed. This property is not handicap accessible. Lots of uneven terrain, steps into the cottages and the shower was a major concern for my father. Thankfully he didn’t fall. The cottage was clean but dumpy and unfortunately run down and old. It needs some major tlc (touch up painting and updating). Motel 6 is better maintained than this cottage. The price didn’t match what we stayed in or what I’m used to staying in for $250 a night. I guess I expected more. I feel we were taken.

Hi there Jeneane, thanks so much for your feedback and we are sorry you were not happy with your room. While we know you were not visiting for a Labor Day leisure trip, our rates are a bit higher than usual over the holiday weekend. As you may have seen during your stay we are in the process of making some major updates to our rooms and grounds and the cottage you selected will be getting some major upgrades in the near future. We do have several cottages to choose from that are already fully renovated. We'd love to invite you back to try out one of our updated rooms with 15% discount.

Love it cottage adorable
First impression tell a lot. This place was absolutely adorable and homely. Touch less check and and check out. Clean. They even provide bowels, plates, mugs, glass cups and silverware. How about that.

Comfortable.
Nice cottages. At the moment they are doing self check-ins, so there was no interactions with any staff members. They did however, stay in contact by text messages if there was anything you needed. It looks like they are in the process of renovating units one by one. I would definitely stay there again.

Cute and cozy cabins!
Really cute cottage, superb service and friendly staff made our stay here great! Love the location is walkable to downtown and to grocery stores. Construction on-site wasn’t disruptive. We will totally come back!!!

The cottage was cute but the lace curtains were dirty, the wallpaper was peeling & the distance from the toilet to the vanity was ridiculously small so you were not able to sit on it comfortably! T The chairs were also very hard & uncomfortable & the head of the bed sloped downwards

The old shower was the worst part… It was rusted out in places, and had NO water pressure. They are renovating this old Motor Court, but the shower was unacceptable.

Cottages were nice. Would have been nice to have a hose to rinse off bicycles after the race. Wi-Fi didn't work but cell signal was fine. Definitely will stay again for next year's race.

The property was very cute, but not what was pictured. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. Wished for central heating instead of a spaceheater. Also wished for a better equiped kitchen (more than a single place setting per person).

We keep kitchen supplies to the essentials so we can ensure everything is properly sanitized between guests, but we can usually set you up with whatever you may need upon request.

Cute little room. It is an old mirror lodge converted to cottages. The bathroom was tiny and out dated though. My knees hit the sink when i sat on toilet.
