I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding my recent stay at the Ocean Cliff resort, which I booked through your platform. This trip was planned as a special celebration for my wife’s birthday, but unfortunately, a series of significant issues and misrepresentations completely overshadowed the occasion.
While Ocean Cliff is advertised on Expedia as a 4+ star property, our experience reflected a 2.5-star resort at best. Below are the primary issues that severely impacted our stay:
• Inadequate Room Conditions: Our initial room was unbearably hot due to a broken air conditioning unit, forcing us to go through the inconvenience of packing up and changing rooms.
• Lack of Basic Utilities: We experienced a complete lack of hot water in our room. I had to escalate this to the resort staff several times before anyone adequately addressed it, which is unacceptable for a highly-rated property.
• Closed Amenities: The outdoor bar was actively being worked on and closed to guests. As a result, we had to constantly leave the pool/lounge area and go inside just to order drinks.
• Misrepresented Beach: The beach was nothing like the beautiful photos advertised on your listing. It was extremely rocky and rough, making it completely unenjoyable and entirely misleading.
• Subpar Dining Options: The restaurant menu was incredibly limited, offering very few choices for a resort of this supposed caliber.
