I recently had the opportunity to stay at Firefly Cottages for a period of seven nights, and I must say that I do not feel compelled to return. The accommodations were somewhat rudimentary, as evidenced by the need to manually screw in the light bulb to activate the lighting in the bedroom. Furthermore, the door required the use of a key to secure it from both the inside and outside, which may be perceived as inconvenient by some guests. Unfortunately, the television was not functioning properly, The bathroom mirror over the sink had fallen down at one time so it leaned against the wall behind the faucet for support which now you couldn’t see your face only from shoulder down. You had to shake the handle on the toilet so it would stop running after you flushing. There was a rod underneath staircase that I had to use to hang clothes. These are things which detracted from my overall experience. Given the apparent change in ownership over the years, i do believe it is likely that the property's condition has declined. Despite the picturesque backdrop provided by the almond trees shading the property, my experience was marred by several issues. While I did enjoy a pleasant dinner there in 2023 and opted for breakfast on two occasions during my stay, I largely kept to myself and avoided the property whenever possible.
