Just a short drive from a boat launch and ATV trails, you can easily explore the scenic area by water or land. Nearby parks provide more opportunities to swim and enjoy lakeside picnics.

The home's covered porch invites you to unwind into vacation mode. Cozy up with a good book or sip afternoon beverages while you take in tranquil wooded views. Fire up the gas grill for a cookout, then dine alfresco at the patio table that seats six. Inside the home, you'll find ample space to relax between the living area that features a smart TV and a wood-paneled sitting area that is adjacent to the patio. Nibble on appetizers at the kitchen bar that seats four and share meals at the six-person dining table.

The Fishing Couple!

As a fishing couple, we enjoyed the cabin very much. We like that the cabin is in the woods and has easy access for boat to be stored in the driveway close to the house. We did find the electrical outlets on the outside of the house, one being on the porch and the other behind the brush in front of the house. The inside of the house was very clean and taken care of. The outside of the house could use some work. It definitely needs some landscaping, new roof, paint, eve and gutter work as some of the gutters were hanging on the outside of the house. Probably from snow and or ice during winter. This is my honest review on this cabin. As far as fishing we didn’t do well on the lake, but the river was a different story. We caught some pike, small mouth bass, and walleye. Yesssss!!!!! Great fishing trip!! Thanks you for everything hope all is well.

Setting looks somewhat abandoned

Poor initial impression as yard overgrown and weedy, very close adjacent buildings look abandoned. AC and fans marginally adequate but weather extremely hot and humid. Prepare for short car ride to lake and public accesses (lake is beautiful and clear). Furnishings comfy and clean, Nice assortment of games, books, movies. WiFi not up to streaming although we only tried once —so busy visiting friends with direct lake access. Lots of nice birding and fun watching a hungry small black bear enjoy the raspberry bushes along the edges each morning early. Communication with manager NA

Great nature getaway

We had a great weekend seeing deer on the property everyday, the cabin had everything we needed. Our only issue was the beds were too firm for us, I had to sleep on the couch all weekend but it didn’t take away from us enjoying our weekend away and I would recommend this cabin to anyone.

Great place! Will rent again!

Loved this place! It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked for any cooking needs. Location was perfect for us to attend a family reunion nearby. We will definitely rent again. Only complaint was that the AC was not turned on when we arrived - it was hot day and a window unit in the living room so the bedrooms were super hot and took all night to cool off.

Quiet Getaway

The house has many sitting areas, inside and outside, which was very nice. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The boat launch was minutes away. Very quiet and very clean!

Great Location on West Side of Lake Petenwell

Stayed at Bucks Crossing for a guys ice fishing trip weekend. Great central location on Petenwell lake, within minutes of both Wilderness County and Veteran’s boat launches. House was clean and had everything we needed for our trip, kitchen was well stocked with adequate cooking utensils and dishware. Plenty of parking for 3 vehicles with atv trailers. Fishing wasn’t bad either with a number of short and keeper size walleyes, crappies and perch. We’ll definitely be back, thanks!

Nice cabin

Very spacious and clean cabin. Nice remote location near lots of hiking! I liked that it was dog friendly and there was a 3 season porch and two regular porches. Very cozy and well equipped! A/C unit worked well and we appreciated having it.

Hidden Gem

Property had more than enough room inside and outside. It was nice to find a property that accepted two dogs and there was plenty of room to setup two dog kennels in the house. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and small appliances. Local beach just minutes away and short drive to Buckhorn State Park or Wis Rapids Aquadic Center.

Perfect Weekend Cabin!

My husband and I were looking for a place to getaway with our dog and this cabin was perfect and pet friendly! The beaches/bars/restaurants were all about a 20 minute drive but the views are beautiful as you commute to the different locations. The house was clean, updated nicely and the bed was so comfy! There was plenty of space outside for our dog to run and enjoy himself as well. Thank you for letting us stay here and to anyone going up, we highly recommend Nekoosa Cafe for breakfast the Woodbine Supper Club for dinner AND the Old Mill for drinks, they are dog friendly!

Perfect 4th of July getaway

The house was so beautiful and cozy and had all the amenities we needed. The property is very spacious and the beaches were within 5 minutes. The location is ideal, we had lots of peace and quiet, very little traffic on our road, and the stars were a sight to see at night.

What a sweet cabin that feels like the north woods without the drive! Cabin was very clean and spacious. The bonus 4 season porch is great! The Wilderness Park is only a few minutes away and is a nice small beach with fishing options and only costs $5 to park your car. Buckhorn State Park is beautiful. The Shipwreck is a great open air restaurant/bar with live music and good food. The Wisc. Rapids aquatic center is a lovely outdoor pool. Thank you! We had so much fun!
