From here, you’re well placed to uncover the Gower Peninsula, home to some of Wales’s most breathtaking beaches. Head 14 miles north and you’ll reach the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, a magical landscape of woodland gorges and cascading falls.

Once the groundskeeper’s lodge, this characterful cottage promises a warm and inviting retreat. Step through the door into the atmospheric dining room, where the original tiled floor and generous table for six set the scene for sociable meals and slow holiday breakfasts. The adjoining kitchen is wonderfully equipped with a Belfast sink and ample worktop space – perfect for culinary adventures after a day out.
