This beautiful home sits on 10 acres with a private swimming pool and a view of the Mississippi River. Perfect for Youth Conferences, Weddings, Family Reunions, and Tour groups.
Big room with 9 triple bunk beds for youth, cousins, or dear friends.
Basketball, trampoline, swingset, firepit, BBQ, and wild life.
The first 10 guests are included in the $400.00
Each guest over that will pay $30 per guest per night.
Reservations with less than 16 guests will not have access to the basement. You will have 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on your main floor and upstairs.
Reservations with 16 or more guests will have access to the basement but not the mother in law room.
Reservations with over 40 guest will have access to the mother in law room

This was a perfect place to have our family gather! Meal preparation was easy in the well organized and stocked kitchen. The extra tables and chairs in the garage made a great dining hall. The weather was extremely hot, so the pool offered wonderful relief and was very fun. We would highly recommend this lovely home!

Great Home

This is a great place with a beautiful view! It has everything you need for cooking and serving! The place was very clean and neat. The young people loved the pool. The only problem we had was several hornets nests, which caused three little kids to get stung. We bought spray and sprayed the nests.

Fantastic gathering place for a large family

We stayed with our family of 30 people, including 15 grandkids. There are only 4 private bedrooms, but the endless bunk beds in the basement made such a FUN sleeping place! The property was even better than we had imagined, with a gorgeous view of the Mississippi River and acres of grass for playing football and other games. We stayed there in June and enjoyed the magic of fireflies at night, but the favorite activity was swimming in the POOL! It was a lovely place to stay.

Great location for a family reunion

We had 33 or so family members meet at this location for Thanksgiving. Overall is was a great experience. The headliner is the view of the Mississippi. The property is up on a hill and provides a gorgeous view. Lisa was very responsive to all of our needs. Note that alcohol is not permitted at this location (on my phone that detail was slightly hidden in the rules section under “show more.” Thanks for a great property to reconnect with a large family!

Great for a cousin's get together

Nauvoo was the centralized meeting point for 16 cousins. The property was perfect for our needs. Lots of indoor and outdoor room to hang. It was an easy process from check-in to check-out. We did utilize the basement area much (only 2 people stayed down there), but if we had a mass group of kids the area would be great.

Great for youth/cousins

The bottom floor bunk room really can't be beat for youth/cousins wanting to sleep in the same room. View of the river was nice. Kitchen very functional. I failed to notice the listing did not mention that the washer/dryer is not available. So we had to go to a laundromat, which was a bit of a pain. I assume with such a large capacity house, they are probably trying to avoid people overfilling and breaking the machines. Access to the top floor bedrooms is a bit tricky because you either have to haul luggage up the interior spiral iron staircase or walk across a lot of grass to the top floor exterior entrance. So those with heavy luggage and babies should probably stay on the second level. Having the pool was very nice. The pool deck and slide were great for young kids. There were a lot of flying bugs that tried to get in the house at night, So don't leave the door open. Three functional bathrooms. The bathroom in the bottom floor for the youth worked but the ceiling needed repair so we were not able to use it. There's something tricky with the plumbing because at times only hot water would come out of bathroom faucets no matter which side you use. Overall, next time we come back, we will probably reserve the same house. Someone in our group commented that the house was in the best shape of any house in Nauvoo, as most other houses here are pretty grody.

Beautiful home close to Nauvoo

This is a perfect place to have a family reunion. It's close to Nauvoo, but has lots of space for the kids to run around. The garage area has lots of tables and chairs for dining. Lisa is also great to work with. We would definitely come back again!

Great Spot

This was the perfect property for our group. Our kids loved the space to roam outside and played soccer and basketball, and enjoyed the fire pit at night. Great view of the Mississippi from the deck and living room. Very private and convenient location. We were there for a wedding in Nauvoo, but enjoyed the convenience of shopping 10 minutes away in Keokuk. Good layout inside with open space concept on first floor. Nice amenities including a grill, cooking equipment, extra tables, and chairs. We hosted a dinner after the wedding. It rained on us but we were able to set up comfortably in the roomy and clean garage. We would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family.

Large river view home and close enough to Nauvoo

We enjoyed the location and the size of the home for our two families. The kids had fun playing basketball. Views of the river were nice. It is a newer rental and they are still working out some of the details, but nothing was a deal breaker and they were quick to respond and address issues.

Great home and Location

Lisa’s home was just as described. There were plenty of beds and we were able to spread out within 3 floors. Perfect for our family of 14. Kitchen is well stocked and there were lots of games to play. Our family is from Iowa and it was a short 15 minute drive. Would definitely consider staying here again. Communication with Lisa was great; she was very quick to reply.

Great Property for Gatherings

Awesome view in a cool house that was great for our group and purposes. We had a lot of deer come up near the house. Of course the kids loved that. If you're going to the Nauvoo / Hamilton area and you have a large group you have to check it out.

Great Getaway

Pros: We were the first to stay at this property as guests and Lisa was extremely responsive with all of our questions. The property and house were beautiful. A family of deer visited us every morning and evening, including 2 babies. We caught fireflies, swam in the pool and played on the playground. The house was nice and a comfortable space. Great garage and check in and cleanup upon checkout were both easy. There is internet and 1 tv in the main living area. Areas for improvement: Some of the bathrooms weren't the cleanest (spiders in the basement shower, upstairs bathroom sink needed to be cleaned as it looked like someone used it for painting, small things like that) and the kitchen had lots of pots/pans/plates/cups but almost all appeared to be recently purchased secondhand and needed to be washed before use. We ran the dishwasher when we first got there because of this. Things to be aware of: There is a spiral staircase that leads to more bedrooms and bathroom on the 2nd floor. If you are uncomfortable using that you may need to enter from the exterior, but I can't remember if that door was functional (we didn't use it). The house had a TON of beds in the basement. I think we counted 27 bunk beds. Not ideal for our use but there might be large groups that need this? It made more sense to us for that to be a hangout space. This is a buggy area in the summer. Not much can be done about that! So just be aware.
