The Quiet Spot Cabin

Nestled on a private nature sanctuary surrounded by towering white pines, you will enjoy total peace and tranquility at this comfortable country cabin. Nicely secluded on 5 serene acres yet within perfect proximity to all the wonderful amenities this Finger Lakes gem-of-an-area has to offer! All less than 10 minutes away, you can enjoy area hiking, skiing, wineries, breweries, scenic vistas, incredible restaurants, shops, golfing, Canandaigua lake and more! Launch your kayak and paddle the West River at the south end of the lake or throw on your backpack and step out the door to pick up the Finger Lakes Trail. Catch a live performance at Bristol Valley Theatre. Or simply relax and recharge with a good book, a glass of wine and the company of our resident song birds at the feeder. This cabin is located directly on the Bristol Hills segment of the Finger Lakes Trail and additionally backs up to hundreds of acres of Nature Conservancy property. So much to explore and enjoy! High speed internet + WiFi makes for an ideal combined work/vacation getaway. Wrap up your day with a cookout and dinner on the deck as the setting sun filters through the pines. Then a warm campfire under a starlit sky to top off your evening.
Please note there is an additional charge of $25 per person per stay for more than four guests.

Tranquility

The description of quiet spot is exactly that. After a day of skiing, this was perfect for our family to come together to unwind and make memories. You get the warmth of home feeling walking in the door. All the amenities were provided and some. Birds visiting all the feeders in the morning gives you that serenity feeling. The hosts are amazing. We definitely look forward to a future visit. to a future stay.

The "Quiet Spot" is perfect.

It was as described. We enjoyed the gas stove, birds, and took a daily hike. The host was quick to converse via text, and very considerate with nice touches like fresh flowers. The view and the vibe were excellent.It was a little challenging with regard to food because many of the restaurants aren’t open M-Thurs during the winter. I brought easy, quick things and also had a few items pre-made. It worked out perfectly.

Amazing!

My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway just the 2 of us. We got exactly what we wanted. House was as advertised; private but not secluded, clean, cozy. Mindy and Steve were great! Naples is a cute, chill town with plenty to do. We can't wait to do it again!

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The setting is gorgeous and the furnishings and decor are lovely and carefully thought out. It feels like your own house, and the hosts are very responsive. Highly recommended.

Lovely place!

The setting was idyllic. Lots of wildlife, generally very quiet at night. Lots of bluejays and squirrels making noise during the day, but that's the good kind of noise. Convenient to lots of hiking opportunities in the area, as well as the restaurants etc. in Naples.

"The Quiet Spot" say's it all

Our stay at the Quiet Spot" was amazing. So many places to visit around the area. Surrounded by waterfalls and lakes, they give us an opportunity for pleasant drives. The house is wonderfully enchanted with trees set all around on a huge piece of land. Our hosts, Mindy and Steve have bird feeders and suet around the house for us to bird watch. We were lucky to see a woodpecker, bluejay and a chimney swift at the feeders. We watched a family of wild turkeys pass through the lawn to another path, and a deer poked his head out of the woods! And we must not forget the outside house chipmunk. A wonderful place to stay!

Relaxing

We stayed for the weekend and enjoyed the grape festival. Cabin is exactly as described, even better, quiet and peaceful. We cannot say enough about the cleanliness, comfort, and appreciated the extras that were available. Communication with the host was excellent. We cannot wait to go back!

Super Naples location!

This cabin is truly "The Quiet Spot." The area is peaceful and quiet, and the property is beautiful, cozy and incredibly neat and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and essential spices. The cabin is within easy traveling distance to wineries, parks and an outdoor market. Joseph's Wayside Market is just a three-minute drive up the road. It offers fresh produce, homemade baked goods and hand-crafted soaps and lotions. About ten minutes away is Wesley Nature Preserve, an awesome place to hike. We hiked the entire trail, about a six-mile loop. We truly enjoyed every quiet moment and looking out the window in the morning and seeing the Palomino horse in the pasture. Highly recommended and would definitely go back!

Lives up to its name

Thank you for a wonderful stay. The property was exactly as described, very clean, quiet, and relaxing. The hosts were great at communicating and left small touches (chocolates in the candy dish and an extra fire starter) to make our stay even better. Highly recommend staying here. All the amenities and lots of peace and quiet. It was enjoyable watching the birds visiting the bird feeder too!

The quiet spot

We stayed here for a wedding at the wrens roost barn and it was very pleasant! The place was a lot more spacious than anticipated and very clean. Mindy was very sweet and helpful and the location was only 5 minutes from the wedding venue.

Absolutely lovely

We spent a few relaxing days at The Quiet Spot before driving to Ithaca to move our son into the dorms at Cornell. After a busy summer and before the chaos of dorm move-in, it was the perfect place to pause for a bit. We enjoyed all the birds and entertaining squirrels as well as family bonding time with s’mores by the firepit and board games. We also enjoyed hiking at the Nature Center, the beach at Onanda Park, and some wineries (our teens especially liked the grape juice tasting at Arbor Hill.) Mindy was so friendly and super responsive; she even mailed a small item we left behind to our home. Very highly recommended!

Just perfect!

Rented simply because of its proximity to son & grandson in Fairport and the fact that it had beds for everyone. We had an unexpectedly great week. Well equipped with towels, blankets, and ample electrical outlets. Grill and good kitchen made meal prep easy. Swam, shopped, hiked, played in the yard and roasted marshmallows. Worth another visit.

Great location & relaxing cabin!

From the communication to the cleanliness of the cabin to the location, we truly enjoyed our stay! Close enough to visit Canandaigua Lake and Keuka Lake, we were able to visit wineries and great restaurants while enjoying the serene comfort of the cabin which was spacious, well-stocked for when we did cook and surrounded by relaxing nature. We recommend staying here and look forward to returning! Thank you!

Second time back.

This was our second trip back to the Quiet Spot. Like our first trip we had a wonderful time! The house and property are well maintained! Steve and Mindy are close by if you need anything. Naples has so much to offer. Nice Restaurants, Wineries, shopping, and great hiking trails! We plan to come back on a yearly basis.

Relaxing vacation

The house is very clean and cozy. The area is quiet and relaxing. The wifi is great. Loved watching all the different birds at the feeders and feeding Champ the horse across the street apples and carrots. Melinda is a great host you can get in touch with at any time. We took our son there for his birthday. When we arrived Melinda left a note on the front door wishing him a happy birthday. We thought that was very thoughtful and sweet. We would definitely vacation here again.
