Beautifully furnished 3-BD Suite with Ocean View

Summary:
Welcome to my newly furnished 3 bedroom and 2 full washroom suite in Nanaimo. We are walking distance to Departure Bay beach and 5 minutes away from the Ferry Terminal.

This place is great for sleeping up to 9 guests as we have two queen size beds in one room and a large couch for a single person. It's the perfect stop before heading back to the mainland or stopping by before your next adventure exploring Vancouver Island.

The Space:
The space is a 3 bedroom, 2 full washroom suite that sleeps up to 9 people. It's a the perfect get away for larger groups and the perfect stop before or after going to the main land or to explore the rest of the island. Enjoy the spacious yard, big enough to kick or throw a ball around.

IMPORTANT NOTE: BBQ griller and hot tub are NO longer available/operational for this property.

Guest Access:
All guests have exclusive access to the suite. The lot is a common area shared with other guests in the suite but it is large enough to have some privacy.

New guest will have an access code to enter the house

The Neighborhood:
We are situated 10 minutes from downtown Nanaimo and the Old City Quarter, 5 minutes from Departure By Ferry Terminal. 3 minutes from the Nanaimo Golf Club. 2-minute walk to Departure Bay Beach.

Getting Around:
Uber and Lyft is available along with taxi and a bus stop 5 minutes away.

Any guest who fails to comply with this process will result in the cancellation of their reservation and will be subject to a 7% booking fee. The remaining amount will be refunded accordingly.

NO PETS ARE ALLOWED: Please be advised that pets are not permitted during your stay. However, if your reservation includes a service dog, kindly notify the property management in advance. This will enable us to provide you with information regarding the house rules and ensure that we can assist you more effectively prior to your check-in.

1. A set of house rules is strictly implemented throughout every stay and must comply:
- No smoking in any form ( electric cigarette, weeds, tobacco )
- No illegal drugs
- No party or gathering of any sort
- No loud noises at all times
- No pets allowed
- Please no 'loud' gatherings. Quiet hours: 9 pm to 9 am
- Only a registered number of guests will be allowed to stay, extra person fees apply for additional guests
- 1 set of towels will be given per registered guest.

2. Please note that BBQ griller and hot tub are NO longer available/operational for this property.

3. Cooking essentials provided : Salt & Pepper; Cooking oil; cookware for your convenience.

1. Early Check-In:

Available from 12:00 PM onwards, a 50 CAD Early check-in fee will apply.
Please feel free to reach out to us to confirm the availability.

2. Late Check-Out:


Please send us a request in advance. Approval will be subject to availability. A fee
of 50 CAD will be applicable for late check-out. (Until 3 pm).

3. Luggage Drop-Off Service:


We offer an early drop-off luggage service after 12:00 PM

The suite WILL NOT be ready until the official check-in time.
25 CAD will be charged for availing of this service.

We, kindly ask that you only drop off your luggage in the Foyer area.
Do not leave any food in the fridge, until it's check-in time.

Note: registration of a valid credit card is required to avail of all these services. Your request will be confirmed once we have successfully charged the applicable extra service fees.

Not impressed with management responses to issues on site
Great location Dated interior This property has no AC FYI so if weather is warm like it was when we visited (27degC one day) the place will heat up. All Stove buttons were broken making it difficult to operate the oven. Manager stated this was normal wear and tear when I complained. No BBQ as previously listed and indicated in video. No Hot Tub as previously listed and hot tub is onsite and empty and non operational. Bed frames feel like sleeping on a pull out couch, cheap low quality metal frames. No screens on most windows or doors and some screens were damaged. This was also stated as normal wear and tear by management. No broom should you spill something or be required to sweep. Many closets had no hangars if any and some had Nails as a means of hanging clothing. When corresponding via email and stating omissions such as BBQ I was directed to dine out by management company. When travelling with a larger group this is not always an option and BBQ was a serious consideration when booking. When stating omissions such as Hot Tub which was also a major reason for booking this location I was told it’s no longer available by management company. When stating screens are broken or missing I was told by management company screens are not used in Canada. Management company offered to issue partial refund if we chose to leave early rather than deal with issues or offer credit. It would also appear there is something living above ceiling in living room

Central location
Location is convenient and in a quiet neighborhood but close to a busy street. Ocean view is mostly gone due to trees but it is very close to the ocean. There are stores close by. The house is big but had a weird smell. It was clean though but it did have a smell so we opened all doors and windows which was great.

1 block from Departure Bay!
This upper floor suite was ample space for the 8 of us, providing opportunities for quiet alone times as well as social times together. The large grassy yard is exceptionally wonderful. But when we encountered rats in the house , and wanted to to talk about that suddenly our host Restavio became very unresponsive. In the mornings rats had eaten through plastic bread bags that we left out on the counters and there were rat droppings in the dining area and living room. At night a rat woke us in the bedroom and scampered away when we turned on the lights. I hope they can get rid of the rats because other than that it’s a really nice place!

One night stay.
The manager of the property was very understanding and easy to deal with. All communication was timely and courteous. The property listed a hot tub but it was not working when we got there so we found a different property and moved after 1 night. The property was ok, but needed a good deep cleaning. Some dust and spider webs. The location was good. Close enough to walk to the beach and some small shops. The rooms were big enough for us.

Kitchen challenges
We were a group of 8 and making a nice meal was extremely difficult with such limited kitchen supplies. We had only two wine glasses, no mixing and serving bowls for a large salad, no serving spoons, few knives and limited sizes of pots and pans. We enjoyed the space and the cleaning staff was exceptionally good. Directions on how to use the TV and lock the door would have been helpful.
