The room was very clean and the value for the money was good, considering it's January, pets are allowed and the motel is an older model, lovingly restored by the current owners. The rooms were warm and everything worked. TV was large which was great if the weather tanked. My only comment has nothing to do with the owners, but the clientele. The owners offer a place for pet owners, but those very people don't pick up after their pets. My companion stepped into some of the myriad of dog poo not only where you would thing people's dogs would go, but right in front of the rooms, in the grassy strip between the curb and walkway in front of the rooms. I feel sorry for the person who had to clean the dog poop from the welcome mat we left outside our room for poop you can's see at night.
Just saying, these thoughtless animal lovers are going to force the owners to not allow pets, something that will affect me personally, as my lady friend has a well-behaved dog and I pick up her doody as a responsible dog owner's sidekick.
I suggest the motel management post a few signs and some doggy bags for guest to use. Easy attempt at a fix for self-important clods.
