We are located right in the heart of the Old City and our guests can explore every aspect of it by foot! Regarding the size of your room, our standard Double Rooms are relatively small considering the size of our Deluxe Double Rooms and of course our Suites. The square meters of every room as well as other significant information are clearly listed online, so the guests are informed before they make any reservations! Also there are many photos that correspond to reality, in which the arrangement of the room and the bathroom is obvious. The comments that surprise us the most are the ones regarding our Team. We are a small team and our primary goal is to create a friendly and welcome environment for our guests, as shown by the majority of reviews we receive online. We don't want to burden our guests with so much information the minute they arrive at our hotel , when they are often tired from their trip. We prefer to welcome them warmly and check them in quickly so that they can first settle in their room and rest - unless of course they themselves want to ask or discuss directions and suggestions for food or entertainment. Then when they come back down, and any time throughout their stay, we are at their disposal, politely, but not pushy, for whatever they need. The maps are available 24/7 and free of charge to anyone who needs them. Το πρωινό μας σερβίρεται από εμάς και έχει τη μορφή À la carte, βάση της οποίας ο επισκέπτης διαλέγει από την προηγούμενη ημέρα -μέσα από το μενού μας- το περιεχόμενο και την ποσότητα του πρωινού που επιθυμεί, καθώς και την ώρα σερβιρίσματος. Με τον τρόπο αυτό αφενός ο κάθε επισκέπτης σερβίρεται το πρωινό του ζεστό και ολόφρεσκο κι αφετέρου μας βοηθά να διατηρούμε σχεδόν μηδενική την σπατάλη φαγητού (zero food waste). It would be very helpful if you mentioned in person or here any flaws you noticed about the cleanliness of the bathroom in more detail, in order to assist you and improve our services!Regarding the unpleasant smell you noticed, we are sorry that it affected your experience with us to such an extent. Our hotel is located right in the heart of the beautiful Old Town of Nafplio, where every shop, restaurant or cafe is within walking distance! Of course the proximity to shops and restaurants is offset by the expected noise and sometimes the smell of cooking food, especially during peak tourist season! That is why we made sure to invest in good sound insulation as well as a sophisticated air conditioning system, so that guests can isolate themselves in their room without external distractions or disturbance on the days and times (lunch and dinner hours but not every day) that these issues occur. However, at our hotel's breakfast hours (8-10am) -when guests can sit at the outside tables and enjoy their meal- all the restaurants are closed and no such smell is detected.Sincerely,Team Carpe Diem Boutique Hotel
