First off, communication with the owner was good, especially since Hurricane Dorian was there a day before our check-in. We choose this property because it was located 2 blocks from our granddaughters home and we were there for a wedding. And. Because it was a new listing and usually new listings are great. The view from the balcony was beautiful and the condo was clean. However, one of the discussions I had with the owner via email was regarding the cleaning fee since I thought it was a little steep since I knew we would not be leaving the establishment anyway but clean. Okay, that's fine, and I would have been okay except, when we arrived, we had to make our own beds (linens were provided), the TV in the small room didn't work and the bottom bunk bed had a full size mattress instead of twin and it was hard to sleep on. I have stayed in several VRBO's and have never had to take care of linens. I don't agree with paying a cleaning fee when you have to make your beds, and then remove bedding and trash before leaving. What's the fee for? The furnishings was outdated and very used, which also surprised me with a new listing. Overall experience was okay once I got over the aggravation of the linen situation, but would not stay again.
