I'm from San Diego CA and spent the weekend in S.C. and V.A. For the price this place is great. If you're used to staying at name brand hotels and you spend more time in the room than out exploring this might not work for you. Our room faced the beach but wasn't on the beach which was good because it was a little quieter. You could sit outside and see the sunrise/set or just open the curtains and see if from the bed in the room. We booked a double room with kitchenette. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, there was a small kitchen, an eating area for 4 and a small mounted tv on the wall. The bedding was a little worn but it was clean and felt fresh. There was ample parking and a pool that looked clean but we didn't utilize it because we were short on time. We checked in around 5pm and front desk agent that checked us in was very polite and knowledgeable of the area and gave us some good suggestions on what to see since we were only staying for one night. The hotel is within walking distance of some of the main attractions like the Beach, SkyWheel and the boardwalk which were both fun and if you're old enough and don't have kids with you there was local bar called the Browery which was a chill place to end the night at and within walking distance. The area felt very safe, we walked back to the room around 2am with no issues. It's about a 10 minute drive to The Broadway/Promenade which was also a fun spot.
