The pictures listed did not do this condo justice of the state the condo was in on our arrival date. When we first walked in, the smell of stale smoke just hit you in the face and would not go away. It smelled like someone had smoked in the unit for quite some time and it was stuck in the walls and air. It was awful. The condo was very dirty and the end tables and dressers had dark burn marks everywhere on them which was a clear indication that someone had smoked in the condo. I immediately contacted our host about the smell upon arrival and waited for close to 2 hours without hearing back from the host and then contacted vrbo. I even tried calling the phone number for big fish rentals and it went straight to voicemail every time with no answer. After being on the phone with vrbo for over an hour and a half, they were able to get a hold of a property manager whom we did not have the contact information for who then was able to get a hold of the host which then resulted in finally the host messaging me back. The host taking over 2 hours to respond to my message is totally uncalled for. The host first tried to offer an ozone machine which I quickly declined as there is a previous recent review about the smoke smell and how they offered an ozone machine and that clearly did not work. The host then tried to blame it on smoke from another condo. The stagnant smell of smoke was not from another condo. I sent pictures of the burn marks and the host said it was normal wear and tear.
