Welcome to River Cottage, a quaint riverside shack with plenty of character situated in a holiday town with over 100 years of history. If you appreciate heritage homes, relaxed coastal villages and authentic holiday experiences, this little cottage offers a peaceful escape in one of Mylestom's most beautiful locations.

As an original fisherman's cottage, this property has retained many of its charming original features, including timber floorboards, traditional windows and a unique floorplan that reflects its humble beginnings. It has been lovingly cared for over the years. An older home with a rustic and friendly feel.

The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. The main and second bedrooms feature a queen bed each, while the third bedroom has two single beds and a walk-through layout with curtain dividers instead of traditional doors, making it best suited to families or close friends who don't mind sharing the space.

Inside you'll find all the essentials for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and a laundry. Outside, enjoy a secure and green backyard, a small rear deck with a BBQ, and driveway and street parking. (Please note the garage is not available for guest use.)

One of the best things about staying at River Cottage is the location. Leave the car behind and stroll to the local café and corner store, the bowling club, the tidal pool, the beach and caravan park. Spend your days fishing, kayaking, swimming, birdwatching or simply relaxing while taking in the river views and coastal breezes.

This is the perfect base for guests who appreciate authentic places, beautiful scenery and a slower pace of life. Expect friendly locals, abundant wildlife and a genuine slice of old Mylestom.

While it is clean, comfortable and thoughtfully maintained, it retains many of its original features and reflects the charm of a bygone era. If you're searching for a modern home with brand-new finishes, this may not be the right fit. However, if you appreciate unique, character-filled homes and the relaxed feel of a classic Australian beach cottage, River Cottage offers a truly special stay.
