Serenity awaits at this secluded riverfront property

**new for 2024: renovated lower level includes an additional full bath with tub & shower, guest laundry access and second living room with smart tv. The walkout basement allows easy access to the lower lawn and beautiful river views.

This recently updated 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is perfect for your next getaway. Sitting on a large lot with 333 feet of river frontage, our home boasts a vast yard with relaxing outdoor space and wide open living area.

LIVING AREAS
The large, fully furnished eat-in kitchen with a peninsula is the perfect gathering space. Whip up your favorite recipes in the gourmet kitchen, equipped with sparkling solid surface countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a table for six. Unwind in the living area, where a large sofa and reclining chair surround a smart TV. The large picture window fills the space with natural light and offers unobstructed river views. The lower level features a second living room with a couch, reclining sofa and smart tv for more space to relax and unwind. The sliding patio door allows easy access to the lower lawn and picturesque river views.

BEDROOMS & BATH
Two bedrooms feature king size beds, while the third bedroom is a queen size bed. The upstairs full bath contains a large tiled shower. The lower level includes a second full bath with large tub/shower.

OUTDOOR AREA
Gather on the screened in porch, featuring a dining table for six and additional seating for relaxation and conversation. Cook dinner on the gas grill located on the deck and dine overlooking the water.

The home is conveniently located 1 mile from the Almar Acre boat landing for launch in the Wisconsin River. Tie your boat up at the house for easy river access. Plenty of parking at the house for your boat trailer. Note: Swimming in the Wisconsin River is not advised due to the swift currents. We recommend life jackets while near the shore and in the water.

LOCAL TO DO’S
Visit Spring Green (20mi) to see a play at American Players Theatre, visit historic Frank Lloyd Wright's home, Taliesin or visit the unique House on the Rock attraction. The House on the Rock Resort also features 27 holes of championship golf.

Wild Hills Winery is a premier artisanal winery, cidery, farm, and orchard nestled among the rugged beauty of the Driftless region of Wisconsin and is just a short 3 mi drive.

Outdoor lovers can find numerous waterways to canoe or kayak and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. The Pine River Trail in Richland Center is a 14.3-mile trail that’s laid on an abandoned rail bed, and gives riders a chance to enjoy the beauty of 250-foot river bluffs without having to ride over them.

Bring your UTV/ATV to explore the gorgeous countryside. 13 townships in Richland County have opened their roads for use. This allows for many different route options and you can even venture to neighboring counties and towns. Plenty of parking at the house for UTV trailers.

You can also explore the quaint shops and eateries in the surrounding small villages all while enjoying the beautiful rolling hills of the Driftless region.

Beautiful House with an amazing view

We stayed at the river house for 3 nights, 6 adults and 1 small child. The house is beautiful - the view of the river is amazing! The house was thoughtfully furnished with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. We enjoyed the large screened in porch overlooking the river and spent much of our time there. Our group also enjoyed hanging outside around the fire pit at night. The new update to the lower level was so comfortable and we very much appreciated the 2nd spacious bathroom. The beds, pillows and covers are very comfortable and made for a peaceful night sleep. The owner was quick to answer any questions prior to our trip. Our group would 100% recommend this beautiful rental. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this little piece of heaven.

Return restored from repose on the river

Loved our stay at the Orion River House near Muscoda. The well appointed and clean house was restful and relaxing. Perfect for morning coffee as the sun lights up the deck or evenings talking, laughing and eating on the screened-in porch. When it rained, we reclined on the big couches with books and looked out the big picture window. In the evenings, we watched the big TV before retiring to the comfiest beds. Repeat, repeat, repeat. The river delivers peace, calm, and the magic of birdsong. We brought binoculars, a bird book and our Merlin app and were awed daily by the variety of birds - warbling vireos, orioles, swifts, blue birds, red-breasted gross beaks, geese using the river as a runway, even a bald eagle swimming (yes, swimming!). This is a special place with owners kind enough to share it with others. We had a wonderful vacation!

Quiet, secluded but centrally located

We chose this rental for its proximity to Taliesin and House on the Rock attractions. Situated along the Wisconsin River, the house was quiet, secluded but only a short drive to Spring Green. We also spent the majority of our time on the large screen porch, having morning coffee or eating our meals there. The home is well stocked and we appreciated the large stacks of firewood/supplies for nightly bonfires. We loved the Wild Hills Winery, only a few miles away. They offer Woodfire Pizza and live music. Lots of places to sit. We also enjoyed a movie at the Starlite 14 drive in theater in Richland Center, about 15 miles from the home. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful Riverfront Retreat

We had an amazing stay at this beautifully located property right on the river. The unobstructed view of the river provided a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was super clean and well-maintained, exceeding our expectations. There were lots of amenities—everything you can think of! All you need to pack is your food, drink, and clothing. The screened-in porch is extra special, especially during the summer to keep the bugs and mosquitoes out. Accessing the property was easy, thanks to clear instructions and a seamless check-in process. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque escape.

Our Second Stay at the River House

This was the second time that our family stayed at the River House, and our experience was just as pleasant as our first visit a year ago. The weather was warmer during this stay, so we were able to spend more time relaxing in the porch and cooking on the grill. As many people have noted here, the views of the river are amazing and very relaxing. The newly finished lower level and second bathroom make the house an even better choice for family vacations. The house is nicely located near Taliesin, the American Players Theater, supper clubs, and many outdoor recreation options. It is a beautiful house, and we enjoyed our second stay. Highly recommended!

Perfect riverfront getaway

My partner and I spent a long weekend here and completely enjoyed ourselves. The house is serene and perfectly tidy. We spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch watching birds on the water. This property is also a great home base for exploring other interesting towns in the area: Boscobel, Viroqua, Spring Green, etc. We will definitely be back!

A perfect getaway to focus
