Perfect location - combine relaxing with tours
Perfect place as a base for both tours and relaxing. I recommend first floor rooms – with terrace – but they are a little expensive. Location: kind of “central” – although there is no actual center in Muscat. Well equipped rooms (fridge, coffee - - ). Convenient with car rental (Dollar) – and cars – on the premises. The private beach was also excellent. Stay there until sunset. Evening Persian/Omani meal on the terrace including a beer – excellent. But again – rather expensive. Winter climate is best - -

Hotellet ligger på en privat strand med nydelig utsikt over kysten . Eget basseng og basketbane. Nydelig solnedgang. Likte godt fasilitetene utenfor hotellet . Store minuset er at hotellet der seg altfor godt betalt for rom. Betalte over 3000kr natta. Uten badekar og sjøutsikt som de lovet . Bildene holder ikke mål for det de lover .mange gamle rom. Måtte skifte rom minst tre ganger på grunn av gult vann og renhold. Det skal sies at personalet var serviceinnstilt, Men for mye rot med for mange mennesker som ikke klarer å rydde opp i kaoset . Måtte heve stemmen for å få et rom med varmt og rent vann . I tillegg luktet rommet av gamle tepper.

Fantastisk opphold
Et helt fantastisk opphold på dette hotellet. Det er vakkert, rent, stort og har flere rekreasjonsmuligheter som: privat strand, badebasseng, tennisbaner, stort treningssenter, restauranter, fantastisk buffet restaurant, en stor og flott lounge og fantastiske rom med en utrolig utsikt. Jeg vil anbefale dette hotellet på det varmeste! Spesielt hyggelig var den ansatte som jobbet der, blant annet Caroline i resepsjonen og Santosh og Arun på buffet restauranten. Jeg og min venninne ble vartet opp og fikk fantastisk service. Vi kommer absolutt tilbake! :-)

Et hotell vi gjerne besøker igjen! Et meget hyggelig opphold i vakre omgivelser med service i alle ledd. Rene og pene rom. Flere restauranter med nydelig mat og god atmosfære. Hva med å sitte ute på plenen med utsikt over gulfen og nyte en bedre middag. Et hotell vi gjerne anbefaler.

Stille og rolig hotel med flere gode restauranter, svømmebaseng og egen strand. Familie på fem tilbrakte noen påskedager på Crown Plaza og hadde noen rolige og fine dager, kort vei til det meste å se rundt Muscat, vannsport aktiviteter i umiddelbar nærhet til hotellet.

We had a good, spacious room with balcony on the parking at 6th floor, but in fact we had partial seaview. Bed very comfortable, all services good. There is also ping-pong. Breakfast buffet, always the same but very good and a lot of variety. Very easy parking. People very helpful and smiling. We tried a evening buffet: very good quality and amazing "little patisserie"

The standard of service is noticeably high in this hotel. Staff are quietly attentive, helpful, polite and professional with guests and with each other. The rooms are very comfortable and care is paid to details like comfortable beds and pillows. Worth noting the Hotels quiet commitment to cleanliness. Public areas are peaceful and restful. The beach and pool areas are a pleasure. This is a really relaxing and peaceful hotel I am very glad I chose it for my break from the British Winter.

I couldn't fault the place. The staff were brilliant and the restaurants, bars and facilities were very good. If there was one downside it would be that there isn't much in walking distance outside the hotel but that is the same for just about every hotel in Muscat and it's a lot better placed than some of the really expensive ones. In fact i would say the views from here are the best in the city. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to some places and the taxis at the hotel are plentiful and cheaper than hailing one from the street. Overall the hotel is up there with the best in Muscat.

The Hotel was lovely , the view from the room and poolside was stunning which included the sunsets. The staff were very friendly , considering they seem to work long hours. We would normally go out and eat but there was nothing near by so we ate at 4 of the 5 restaurants . Each was very nice , the Edge served great sushi! The buffet themed night was also good. Would recommend the rooms with a balcony although I would say they could do with being updated but they were fine and clean . If you want a nice hotel to chill out at then I would definitely recommend it . We went out in the morning sight seeing and then chilled around the pool in the afternoon. A couple of sunbed hoggers with their towels but there were plenty to go around !

Excellent choix en bord de mer à Mascate
Bel emplacement pour cet hôtel bien tenu; vue magnifique sur la baie de Mascate (belle plage privée propre). Le personnel de réception est très courtois et arrangeant. Un séjour très satisfaisant dans cet hôtel confortable et calme à recommander (même si certains trouveront que la déco dans les chambres date un peu et que le rapport qualité /prix au bar de piscine peut sûrement être amélioré)

I visited the hotel in Muscat last in 1997 and, whilst very good then, it is vastly improved now. I particularly enjoyed the themed catering evenings, the position of the hotel overlooking the sea and the very welcoming and helpful staff at all levels. Many thanks I will try not to leave it so long to my next visit.

Superbe piscine et vue magnifique sur la plage ; petite plage privee en contrebas ; excellent buffet pour le petit déjeuner et personnel attentif et sympathique ; c’est notre deuxième séjour dans cet hôtel que nous recommandons chaudement. Superb hotel in a great location
Spacious room with tremendous view and balcony. Service of a very high standard - all staff pleasant and helpful. As well as dining in the city, we tried 3 of the hotel’s restaurants and all were excellent. Made good use of the facilities such as tennis and gym. Would definately return on our next trip to Muscat.

Fantastik pool
Positivt: Dejlige pools og strand. Fint fitness og gratis brug af tennis og squash baner. Gratis shuttlebusser til den store moske, shoppingcenter og souk. Meget venlig og behjælpelig reception. Dejlig morgenmad. Negativt: små værelser, meget larm og musik fredag, dyre og ikke specielt gode restauranter. ( vi prøvede ikke buffet - men den så faktisk god ud).

I have been staying at Crown Plaza since last twenty years whenever I visit Muscat, professional and friendly staff, good service, and nice facilities always made me feel like back home. This time had lunch at Come Prima, sea food pasta was excellent! Also Arlene was very helpful and professional. Look forward to coming back again to Crown Plaza.

Aufenthalt gut- aber unberechtigte Abbuchung
Mit dem Aufenthalt war alles ok. Allerdings wurde die hinterlegte Kreditkarte mit 100 OMR belastet. Auf Nachfrage und etlichen mails hin und her, wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass die umstrittene Abbuchung nicht ermittelt werden konnte und ich diese bei meiner Bank einen chargeback Antrag stellen soll. Super, dann muss ich mich darum auch noch kümmern, das geht gar nicht!
