Lazy O - Four Bedroom, Three 1/2 Bath Oceanfront Home with Private Pool

Lazy O is a four-bedroom, three and a half-bath oceanfront beach house 1.5 miles south of Garden City Pier. This spacious oceanfront property features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with granite counters, microwave and dishwasher, as well as a washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, ceiling fans, and hardwood and carpet flooring. Six TVs (42-inch Samsung HD flat screen in living area, wall-mounted, cable), telephone, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king, one queen, three double, and two twin-sized beds. A highchair is available for toddlers. The outdoor living space features a private 15-by-30-foot saltwater filtration swimming pool, large screened-in oceanfront porch, street-side deck, enclosed outdoor shower, hammock, play area for children, and ample parking (concrete, some covered). The swimming pool can be heated Labor Day through Memorial Day when outdoor temperatures are above 48-degrees. A second refrigerator is located downstairs. The exterior lift at this property is not included with the rental and, therefore, is not available for use under any circumstance. No smoking. No pets. Maximum occupancy:10

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fantastic. Great house. Great time. The first two days were stormy but that makes for good sleeping with a window opened slightly to hear the rain and crashing of waves. After that the water was calm and the breezes were fair. The house was well-stocked with anything a family needs for a week. And I'm not just talking about the kitchen. There are games, books, and flat-screen TV's throughout. There are even beach toys and chairs stored in the large laundry room. We suspect that some families bought these during their trips and simply left them due to lack of room to haul home. And the big plus is the roominess of the house which affords people enough space to avoid constantly bumping into each other which is essential to maintain sanity for a weeks stay. Let's face it, everybody needs a little space, and this house gives you that.

Lazy "O" Gets a 10 !

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Lazy "O" is beautiful! Well maintained, very clean, great location. Would love to stay there again. We needed help with operating the TV in the great room. Scott from Garden City Realty expertly and patiently showed us how the TV worked. The next day, while I was outside in the driveway, he stopped by (on his way to a call) and asked if all was still well with the TV. You can't beat that for going above and beyond in providing great customer service! Upon my return home, I thought I had left my cell phone charger. I called GCR, spoke to Diane, who did everything she could to help me. As it turned out, I found my charger; I had not left it after all. But, Diane, just like Scott, went above and beyond the call of duty in trying to help me. GCR will indeed get my business in the future!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The downstairs room is uninhabitable. The intense smell of mold is overpowering and a fan and air freshener won't help. After contacting the rental company, they sent Kendra from housekeeping who agreed there was a smell. She offered to have housekeeping come out, but air freshener wouldn't mask the smell so we declined. She said she could contact maintenance to come out to identify the location of the odor which she felt was in the closet. 24 hrs later and no maintenance, stopped in the rental office and Brad was a complete jerk claiming there was no odor. I have pictures showing the water damage they tried to hide with rugs. So unfortunately you pay for a room that you cannot use. Between the condition of that room and the rude and unprofessional attitude of the rental company I recommend you STAY AWAY!!!

Property was affordable for budget conscious family. LR furniture is worn and not comfortable; MB bedspread needed laundered; "WiFi" was just a modem and we had to provide the router. Would consider staying there again. Screened back porch is fabulous for all family members. Love the people at Garden City Realty!!!
