The host double booked us and didn’t communicate this until we were 6 hours away. And, only when I asked for the door code did she disclose that she moved us. We had several conversations via the Vrbo chat-stating that we did not want to move to another area. We would definitely not recommend this host to anyone.

Lots of little issues occurred during our stay, not sure if we just had bad luck or what. Cleaning supplies were left out throughout the condo and the floors were sandy. Basic maintenance is needed, for example one of bedroom doors is coming off the hinge, many of the blinds were broken, several water stains on the ceiling throughout the condo, patio furniture is rusted and falling apart, and there was some water coming into the unit from upstairs. The host was kind and responsive to our concerns. Being on the beach was nice and the location is great but for the money spent I would say it's not worth it.

The property was in a great location. Close to pier, restaurants and ocean front. The property was also clean for the most part. There is no elevator here and I don’t recall that mentioned in the listing, not a huge deal but I will now ALWAYS look for that! The living room floor has a huge soft spot that desperately needs to be repaired. The couch is not comfortable at all. The beds have a plastic mattress cover. I appreciate that for cleanliness however I constantly woke up feeling damp and I am not a person who sweats a lot. During my stay Terminex came out to spray. I was not made aware he would be coming. He knocked very loudly on the door but there was no peep hole. I answered and allowed him in but he proceeded to tell me that he would knock twice and let himself in if no one had come to the door. What if I had been in the shower??!!! He also stated he had let himself in before and saw people asleep and very quietly made his way around while they were sleeping and went back out. They never knew he was there. Creeped me out!!! The place was not awful but for the price, my expectations were a little higher! If it had been cheap, I would have just chalked it up and knew I got what I paid for.

Great!

The location was perfect- close to beach and several restaurants and shops, all a short walk away! Enjoyed the beach front balcony and the host was quick to respond every time. Check in process was easy and parking was never an issue!

The building shown is not the building we were in. When we walked in the floor was sandy and dirty,the the towels were still wet, the toilet was broken. The host said she would send someone to clean and mop and fix toilet. This should have been done before we got there. My wife swept and vacuumed i fixed toilet. The next two days the dog next door barked all the time! Our final morning a alarm went off on door at 4:30am couldnt turn off so we just left about 5:30. No trash bags in cans, no paper towels, plus soft hole in floor.I would not stay again! Needs to be cleaned and updated!

Had potential

Too many shortcuts (Lights that don’t work, tiny, thin, bath towels, old cover on very hard couch, and no cushions, which would’ve helped a lot, Two rolls of toilet tissue for two bathrooms during a week’s stay, Coffee pot did not work, and bring your own soap. We had a couple of teeny tiny bars, that didn’t even lather. A trip to Goodwill or the dollar store for some staples and perhaps some decent furniture would’ve made a difference for this owner in making guests’ stay a little more comfortable. We feel that this person is maybe new to this business and we assume she is trying, but she needs to go to a little extra effort, which would make a huge difference. There are many locations such as this in Garden City, that are ocean front. She’s got a lot of competition. I do not want to be negative, but I hope some of these comments Regarding relatively small changes and additions she could inexpensively make may enlighten her as to how to make her future guests Feel more welcome and comfortable.Finally, we will not be using Vrbo in the future. They are not hands-on And seem unaware of any issues until a client has to call them directly. and this is the third time we’ve used them, including once in the smoky mountains. In the future, we will go directly to a realty company here that handles rentals.

Beautiful

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay and was super easy to communicate with the host! She was very sweet and was super responsive. I would recommend bringing your own blanket as the ones on the bed are thin but that’s the only recommendation I have! :)

Completely mislead

We were contacted the night before our stay by the Host (Kylie) informing us that she would have to relocate us to another location due to a leak. She stated that the alternative location was just as nice and was ocean front. We went to the other location which was not ocean front and the only view was a campground across the fence. The unit was extremely dated. Vinyl flooring pealing from the floor. Patio doors wouldn’t slide open. We left and requested a refund. Kylie had been very responsive until we requested a refund. From that point she wouldn’t return calls or texts. We have filed a claim with VRBO. Avoid this host at all costs.
