Not What I Expected.

The view was the best feature - even saw some dolphins. The floors were dirty upon arrival, but rental agency sent someone quickly to clean.

There were spills running down walls, outside of appliances were dirty, carpet in master bedroom is dirty and torn around bathroom door. Bathrooms need to be updated, toilet seats are disgusting.

First day disaster

We called UR office and was to,d that someone would contact us. We waited and waited. Finally went to office and reported problem. The agent told us that there is a problem with the water heater and don't think it was repaired. Made another phone call to UR office. Waited for a call back. Finally received a call and was to,d that the heTer will have to be removed and a new one replaced the next day. So what do we do about today. No answer. We wasted an entire day with this problem. Finally we turned on the water ourselves when we had to use the bathroom. We feel that we should be compensated for the loss of the day and the inconvenience of not being able to use the bathroom, take showers, use the kitchen or make ice. We would appreciate a response to this unhappy first day of vacation for our family

Review of Atalaya Towers #1505

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was good, but would be a lot better if the upholstered furniture was updated or cleaned (dingy), floors under furniture were cleaned (dust, Cheetos) and if they can get rid of the awful musty smell. The dryer vent hose needs cleaning - it blew out a lot of dust and lint when turned on. I connected to wifi, but was unable to access email or internet - so you may need to check into that. The screen doors wouldn't slide and maintenance came on day 1. A couple days later I called and they had the parts, but they did not return. Those were the drawbacks. The location was awesome and we made the best of it. We actually found a nicer condo in Atalaya Towers we'd consider next time.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: One of the two elavaters was not working for half our our vacation 4 days. This made access to our room extremly difficult. The wifi was constantly dropping connection while in our room and the front desk management was not helpful in getting this resolved during our stay. Becuase of the wifi issues, my entire family went over our data plan for internet use and this resulted in a $35 overages charge from Verizon to us. The was directly laundry left in the room when we arrived and I had to call housekeeping to get them to pick it up.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Atalaya Tower 1505 is at a great location. The view is amazing. Close to everything we wanted to do. The mattress in the twin bedroom needed replacing. The trashcan in the twin bedroom fell apart when we tried to empty it. Even though the inside pool had a sign up that stated smoking was not allowed, people were in there smoking. We had to leave and go to the outside pool. This was after 5:00 when the office closed, so there was no one there to monitor the situation. This needs to be looked into and spot checks made occasionally. The condo was quiet and luggage carts were readily available. Parking was a problem for us. We were given two parking spaces - one in the parking lot at the condo and the other across the street. We both had to park across the street at times because there was no space in the lot at the condo. This was a problem for us, as we had an elderly person with us that we had to drop off and then go park across the street (even though our parking pass was for the side of the condo). It was very much a problem the night it rained and my husband got soaked because of crossing the street in 3-inch deep water. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience.

The sofa was nice but we noticed that the legs were wobbly, so my husband looked at it and we immediately called and reported. The next morning someone came and took the legs and stated that they would repair when we checked out. Garden City Realty was very nice and helpful. Overall it was good.. Would definitely rent 1505 again.

Great Family Vacation!

It was very clean, family oriented and we all loved it. Definitely will be back. May try for a lower floor to ease my mind! :-)

When I first inquired about this rental, the rental company rep I spoke with wasn't very friendly but oh well. I booked anyway. We got to the condo and it was great. Very and I mean Very spacious with closet space and great sized eating area and full kitchen and it was stocked with about everything!! The only complainant I have is the master bed comforter is so thin that you freeze to death and the extra blankets provided are old and scratchy. The sheets are not high quality and extremely thin. The showers are nasty. The house cleaner is not cleaning these showers. The soap scum is thick and the master bath cloth shower curtain was moldy. I cleaned the showers and bleached the shower curtain in the washer. The realty brought blankets when I called about the super thin bedding but they acted inconvienanced so I never called again due to how they acted and talked to me when I was very nice and polite and just asked about additional bedding options because the provided bedding was extremely thin and I had an uncomfortable first night. I still would not say these issues killed my vacation or upset me greatly. I bought a nice blanket I can use at home for the bed and I cleaned the showers. I didn't want to but I wanted to have clean showers. I would still stay here again, no problem. It was a great place and fantastic location for the price and it was very nice. I actually might go ahead and book for next April soon. I don't expect every thing to be perfect or as clean as my home but I do hope they get someone to pay better attention to those showers. I would recommend this place to anyone though regardless of showers.
