Midt på tre hotell
Hotellet befinner seg i Andheri East området. Et godt stykke fra hovedsentrum som Bandra og Colaba. Man bruker fort over en time for å komme inn i sentrum. Litt dyrt hotell for å være såpass langt fra hovedsentrum. Syntes også det var dårlig at de fakturerte meg for en ekstra barneseng enda jeg hadde betalt for oppholdet på forhånd. Bodde i Mumbai tre-fire dager med familie. Midt på tre hotell.

The rooms are very outdated. No ventilation in bathrooms. When you go to have a shower, the entire bathroom ceiling and the outside ceiling around the bathroom is wet ands damp. There were flies coming out of the drain in the bathroom and at one point there were worms coming out of the bathroom sink. We got the room changed but the a/c in the second room was not cooing the room at all. For a hotel that boast themselves as a 4 star hotel don't have basic amenities like fridge and safe. Even the tv is so old that it does not even have a power off button!! I would not even dream to stay at this hotel not just in mumbai but also other locations if they have one! Too bad I don't have the option to post pics on this site. But I'm surely going to post it on Google.

The staff here are really nice. Unfortunately that's the only positive thing about this place! The hotel is under renovation. There is no bar! There is no Swimming pool. The whole place looks like something from the 1980's.
My room was to put it bluntly horrible. Run down and tired looking. See the photos. They are extremely dated and items like cupboard doors and drawers are sticky and hard to open. On top of that the safe didn't work either! That wasn't the worst thing though. By far the worst thing was the humidity in the room. Air conditioning ON or off made no difference what so ever. Off actually slightly improved the situation. On or off you felt "wet and sticky". Your clothes feel damp, the bedding feels damp. This is obviously a hotel wide thing as dehumidifiers are in the corridors! It's unpleasant to say the least. An update on this. I've come home and my wife whilst putting my washing in the machine commented on how much my clothes smelt of damp!!
On one occasion the room door didn't lock. The staff were "it's OK, we fix" but even so, I had to go to work and leave my room unlocked!
Breakfast is "different". One day due to work commitments I had to get my breakfast at 7 am. This is a standard time in any hotel. Not this one! I ended up with cold beans, cold sausages and like warm potatoes. There were no staff at all. I was told it was my fault as breakfast starts at 7.30 am!!
Choose this hotel if you want. However if you do a little more searching you will find

Pathetic check in experience
Check in experience was pathetic. Arrived at the hotel past midnight and they claimed to not have received the booking from hotels.com and asked me to pay again. We finally agreed that they would block the amount on my credit card until they received confirmation from hotels.com.
I got a call at 5am saying hotels.com had responded and there was an issue in the booking system somewhere.

Hotel rooms are dated, but service is excellent. So, a good deal for the price. When you arrive, looks like a very fine hotel, and the lobby and service are great. Room was comfortable and fine. Hallways are dated and rough, but who cares about that?

Claim to have a swimming pool but it is closed as the pool is in the dinning area. The staff are liars and skimmers. The room provided was not ready on time. Nobody was bothered. Lobby had drug deals going on when we had to wait as our room was not ready at 2.00 pm, the allocated time.
We were offered complimentary pick up and drop off to the airport, so I booked it with a person named Shivani. When the car did not turn up I rang the hotel and a chap called Vijay said we are not eligible and he will organise it for 1500 rupees. In the end I took the cab for less then 300 rupees. Overall avoid this place.

We have taken a note on your mentioned feedback and based on the same would like to inform that any bookings received through Expedia booking portal is exclusive of airport transfers and our reservations team is very well aware of the same . Moroever our airport pick up charges are INR 700 for International Airport and INR 900 from Domestic Terminal .
The hotels standard check in time is 1400 hours and due to a payment dispute of prepaid or postpaid you had during the check in process , the check in was delayed from your end . Requesting to kindly elaborate on the Lobby drug deals which am afraid no one is aware of the same.
The Swimming pool is closed as per the latest government regulations imposed due to the outbreak of corona virus globally.

Check in process was pretty easy. Staff was very helpful. They even helped us find a cab at 2 am to get to the airport.
Only thing we found odd was that hotel does not allow outside food, specially if we eat out and have leftovers we should be able to take it to our room.
Other than that hotel was fantastic and will definitely recommend staying at VITS

The hotel had a really nice vibe. A nice quiet retreat in a busy airport location. The staff were great and friendly, going out of their way to help me out.
