Grand Getaway - 5 Miles to Beach, Huge Yard, Tons of Space + Gym!

Escape to our peaceful, private home just 8 minutes from the beach + 20 minutes from downtown.

Whether you're planning a family getaway or a trip with friends, there's plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind. Sip your morning coffee on the spacious front porch, squeeze in a workout in the private gym, and cap off your evening gathered around the fire pit under the stars.

**Per our Reviews: We NO LONGER work from the gym or live in the RV - the entire space is yours to enjoy!**

This single-family, elevated home is situated on 1.35 acres in Mount Pleasant. The property sits well back from the main road offering plenty of privacy and tons of parking.

GARAGE: Houses our Gym - weight lifting machines, dumbbells, cable machines, squat rack, and a full bathroom. *NOTE: please sign waiver located inside our house binder prior to use. Respect our clients when sharing the gym. NOTE: Starting June 25, 2025 - we will no longer be working out of the gym.

The beach essentials are stored here: chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, a skim board and cooler. We have 4 beach cruisers available for your use as well. There’s also a ping pong table, an 8’ table for party games and darts.

KITCHEN: Equipped with extras like an insta-pot, blender, toaster oven, and mini waffle maker. The island seats 4 people and a couch right off the kitchen offers more seating.

“FOURTH” BEDROOM: located off the kitchen, includes a queen-size, pull-out sofa bed, blackout curtains, freestanding clothes rack with shelves, and barn doors for privacy.

LIVING ROOM: Features a cathedral ceiling with sky lights and plenty of windows with a 65" smart TV. There’s a large sectional as well as a full-size sleeper sofa, a chair, and floor pillows.

BEDROOM 1: The primary is located on the main floor, past the washer/dryer and closet. The room is spacious and includes a king-size bed and its own 65” smart TV. The ensuite bathroom was fully renovated in July 2022 and includes a shower as well as stand-alone bathtub.

**QUEEN SIZE AIR MATTRESS located inside the primary closet with sheets and bedding.

BEDROOM 2: Located on the second floor with king-size bed and 50” smart TV. Equipped with blackout curtains.

BEDROOM 3: Located on the second floor with both a queen and full-size bed. Equipped with blackout curtains.

Bedroom 2 and 3 share a fully renovated (July 2022) jack-and-jill bathroom with combo shower/bathtub.

A printer and electric sit-stand desk is located on the landing of the second floor.

**Only 4 bedrooms… but the use of 2 sofa beds and a queen-size mattress allows us to sleep up to 14 people.

PLEASE NOTE: Starting June 1, 2025, we will no longer be living in the backyard RV and starting June 25, we will no longer be working out of the garage gym. The full property will be completely private starting June 25, 2025.

The host was great and communicated with us throughout the stay. The house was perfect for our needs and close to stores and the beach. The house has baby gates on all of the stairs which was a huge plus having a 14 month old with us. The older children loved the large yard, swing, and playhouse. I couldn’t imagine a better place to stay, especially traveling with younger children. The gym in the basement was also top quality.

Location was awesome. Close to everything and the wedding venue. Well stock with everything you may need to cook with in the kitchen, except groceries of course. Loved the kitchen, all the beds were very comfortable and the sheets felt nice. I would recommend this property again and will use this property for our next visit to the Charleston area.

We hosted a small wedding at this property. It was really stunning and a perfect spot for our special occasion. The hosts were perfect! They communicated with us the whole time and were so sweet! There were many extra little ammenities that were such a nice touch. Our chef loved the kitchen for prepping the food and the home photographed beautifully, inside and out! We slept exactly 14 people here one night and everyone had enough room and bedding to be comfortable. Location is close to everything! Even the beach! Would definitely recommend! Would stay again if the need for such a large home ever arose again!!!!

Bachelorette Party

My group had the absolute best time at this property. It was exactly what we were looking for for our bachelorette trip and was so easy to get to both downtown and the beach! The owners were fantastic and super responsive. Cannot say enough good things. If you're thinking of booking this house, do it!!

Absolutely loved this property! This place was everything and more — spacious and close to everything that we needed. Hosts were so nice and helpful throughout our stay. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to South Carolina! Thank you so much for having us!

Beautiful and Serene

We had a few families gather here, and it was perfect! We loved the screened in back porch and spent countless hours making memories there. It was perfectly positioned to keep an eye on the backyard filled with plenty of fun for the kids. There is even a play kitchen set that kept the baby entertained. We cooked a few large meals and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The table had plenty of room for late night board games. We brought our own, but there were several available in-house as well. Having the highchair was such a plus when traveling so far! It was nice having the washer and dryer available as well, with little kids in tow. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms available upstairs, but we didn’t use the basement setup. It seemed awkward with patrons coming in and out to use the gym located there. Communicating with the hosts was easy, and they were responsive. They quickly answered any questions we had and did so very graciously. We felt perfectly positioned when looking for restaurants, grocery stores, or fun. Harris Teeter is mere minutes away, with Walmart just a bit further. If you’re looking for a great steak, we highly recommend Burton’s. Amazing food and service! This was a great place for us, but beware, there are MANY steps involved. When we booked it, my husband was awaiting his second back surgery. It didn’t go as smoothly as planned, but he was able to navigate okay. Overall, it was perfect! We would love to go back!

We had a great trip for many of us we had never been to the Charleston area and have no complaints, space was nicely put together and space for everyone to be together. The host were very responsive with questions and the house felt close to lots of different places.

Excellent home!

Alexis and Kyle were excellent hosts! Communicated early and provided lots of details. Master bedroom had comfy bed, large! bathroom, nice thick towels, a wonderful stand-alone tub, and a great shower. Two other bedrooms were roomy as well. House is roomy with lots of areas to relax. Front and back porches allowed us to enjoy the nice weather. Kitchen is furnished nicely. Has a large island so people can gather there as well. We hope to stay here again!

Great 8-days in Mt. Pleasant

We stayed at the Grand Getaway from July 22-30, 2023. The location was off the beaten path yet very convenient to important locations - our Mt. Pleasant conference, beaches, grocery store, and historical sites at Pickney and Boone plantations and it was a short drive to Charleston. The space was large and accommodating. The hosts made it very welcoming with Black Rifle coffee, a latte machine with coffee, and a welcome note for me and my family upon arrival. The house was very clean and well-appointed with plenty of dishes and towels. I did not have to bring my own kitchen with me! When we had a need or questions, not only did the hosts respond quickly, they showed great kindness to us, particularly our teenage children. We traveled with dogs, and the space was very good for them as the yard is quite large and there were already dog bowls for food and water. We had use of several bicycles which we took advantage of to ride around the many sidewalks connecting to the property. The bicycles were in good working order. While the hosts live on the property in an RV, our privacy and feeling of being on our own, was not encroached upon. I recommend Grand Getaway for future stays.

We will be back!

I can't say enough about the home-owners, the lovely home, the property, being centrally located and how they thought of every detail. While the home-owners are on the land/property in the back, you would never know they are there. They respect your privacy but available as needed. We brought our dog and they even offered to watch her when our plans changed. You will feel at home as soon as you walk through the door with a welcome message, water and snacks. The home was spotless, the beds are super comfortable, the linens smell fresh and each room is very large (allowing everyone to have their own space when needed). While it was too warm to enjoy their outdoor amenities, we will be back again to stay when visiting family. We have already recommended to our family and friends in town. Don't miss this opportunity for a highly recommended home!
