«We had an amazing stay at the Retro Retreat! The location next to Lake Taupo is absolutely stunning and made our trip even more memorable. The weather was lovely as well. The batch house was incredibly nice, tidy, and well-maintained. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, especially the basic amenities and the lollies for the kids—they loved them! The location is very quiet at night. It’s less than 5 minutes to the lake, which was perfect for us. The kitchen windows offers nice panoramic view ...

«The apartment was a bit smaller than it looked in the photos, however it was very clean and within walking distance of the town centre which was great. Additionally, having an off road parking space was really useful. The downside was the noisy neighbours, particularly the upstairs neighbours who were loud throughout the night making it difficult to get a good nights sleep.»

«Had everything we needed for our three night stay and was handy to the lake for a quick dip! We enjoyed the outdoor areas and the great views of the lake. The location was quiet with the walkway along the lake good for our morning walk. Private snd plenty of room for our group of 12. Would highly recommend 👌»

«With this house you get an awful lot of dampness along side all the wonders of a beautiful bush setting, and fantastic morning bird song. There are dehumidifiers downstairs that barely take the edge off the appalling damp, moldy smell down where the lower bedrooms are. Even the upstairs bedroom was more musty than I would expect for a quality bach. When we arrived the hot water hadnt been turned on, and its really hard to get someone from Bachcare to answer the phone, so it took a while to get ...
