Welcome to Blissful Burrow Cabin in Blue Ridge GA. Our reputation speaks for itself! The summers, you are surrounded by the vibrant greens of towering oaks and pines, and in the fall, the crisp air and the brilliance of bright reds, oranges and yellows is breathtaking. At dusk you’ll hear the sounds of nature and watch lightning bugs flit. Inside, you'll find large windows and natural materials which make you feel like you have burrowed into a truly luxe Treehouse.


Blissful Burrow is located in a quiet gated community, with all paved roads to make trips to town quick and easy – but beyond the gates, all of the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains awaits you.

For the watersports-lovers in your group, the Toccoa and Ocoee rivers, and Lake Blue Ridge, offer an array of activities from white water rafting and kayaking to canoeing, fly-fishing, and leisurely floats. Check out nearby Lake Blue Ridge Marina in Morganton for a full selection of rentals. You’re also welcome to bring your own boat and equipment along, we have parking! And don’t miss the great swimming at Morganton Swim Beach or the Swinging Bridge across the Toccoa River!

Find year-round hiking on the endless nearby trails, including the storied Appalachian Trail. Many of them boast hidden waterfalls - and maybe even Big Foot sightings! Those looking for a truly scenic viewpoint will enjoy Brasstown Bald Mountain, the highest point in 3 states, or a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, especially in the Fall!

Explore the surrounding charming mountain towns with local wineries and breweries, antique and boutique shopping, river walks, or, seek some indoor thrills at the casino, an hour away.

You’ll find all kinds of dining in the area as well, including Harvest on Main (reservations recommended) and Chester’s in Blue Ridge, or the popular Fish Cove in Morganton, and the many restaurants along the river walk in McCaysville. And don’t miss Mercier Orchards, we love it so much we make sure to go every time we are there to grab amazing bakery items and fresh fruit and have a picnic overlooking their orchard and vineyards.

Note: Apple Season is coming and Fall is an exceptional time of year with beautiful fall foliage and plenty of fall festivals.

Our cozy log cabin is an eclectic blend of rustic and modern – Peaceful, Tranquil, Blissful. We wanted to embrace the natural beauty of the local wilderness and bring elements of it inside to create a true Treehouse – but with modern comforts! (Want to turn on the fan? Alexa would love to do that for you!) We were inspired by the Burrowing Owl, who chooses to “remodel” other animals’ burrow homes to make their own cozy nest! In keeping with that, we have recently remodeled our basement and turned it into an amazing Game and TV Lounge, where kids of every age will want to hang out! This is the spot where the entire group can play together.


~Indoor Living Spaces~
There’s space enough in this getaway for multi-generational families or several families traveling together. Keep on the lookout for owls–you’ll find them tucked into all of the property’s coziest corners!

The Living Room brings nature inside with its traditional log cabin tongue-and-groove planks, stone details and glorious views. Sink into the comfy leather furniture, light the gas fire and gather here for a glass of wine and warm conversation. Kids will love the Game Lounge on the lower level, home to plenty of indoor entertainment including air hockey and shuffleboard, board games and unique coloring and picture books. There’s bar seating for four in front of a vibrant mural of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains, a comfy reading nook which can double as an extra Twin bed, and a 75” Smart TV with plush leather sectional seating and plenty of snuggly throw blankets to make for memorable movie nights.

~Kitchen & Dining~
The open-plan updated kitchen is located on the main level of the cabin. Grab a coffee from the charming Coffee Station and pull up a stool at the stone-fronted island for a chat or to prepare a feast. Then dine at the rustic table, with seating for 6, under an open Loft ceiling and take in the Forest views!

~Bedrooms & Baths~
2 King Bedrooms, Loft has Queen Swinging Bed & 2 Twin Beds. Basement includes a Queen Bedroom, full bathroom with a luxe shower, and a twin size bed in the basement living room that converts to a king if extra space is needed.

The property’s main King suite, also accessible from the upper catwalk, is a retreat unto itself, with a toasty fireplace and a sitting area with a 52” Smart TV. There’s also a designated work space, although you won’t want to do any, and a luxurious private bathroom. A rustic stone surround envelops the spacious soaking tub - with the perfect shelf to rest your book and your glass of wine while you unwind after a day of adventure.

The Loft is the perfect haven for kids and the young at heart. With sweeping views of the surrounding forest from its floor-to-ceiling windows, this truly
feels like a Treehouse burrow. Two cozy Twin beds are tucked into
one side of the Loft, each with its own reading lamp for bedtime stories. The other side of the Loft is home to the ultimate treehouse vibe with a comfortable hanging queen bed to snuggle in while looking out at the gorgeous forest view. Plenty of toys and games are here too, the sitting area is always available for a playdate under the trees.

A wonderfully quaint additional King bedroom, with Full Bath, is on the first floor, with the adjoining laundry facilities.


~Outdoor Amenities~
The outdoor spaces at Blissful Burrow are as magical as the indoors. Step out onto the covered wrap-around deck to enjoy a cup of coffee or spend a blissful afternoon watching a rainstorm from the comfort of the outdoor seating area. This is the perfect perch from which to observe the changing seasons. In summertime, take in the towering green pines and oaks and the soft ferns that cover the forest floor. Cast your gaze out onto the glistening pond and winking fireflies. In autumn, you’re surrounded by a vibrant patchwork of reds and yellows, and crisp country air. Bar-B-Q on the outdoor grill here and enjoy any meal al fresco.

There’s plenty more to experience on this wooded property. Why walk downstairs when you can slide from the deck to the soft forest floor below? Yes, there is a built-in slide! It’s the perfect way to kick off an afternoon or evening of outdoor adventure roasting s’mores around the Fire Pit. Kids, or the young at heart, will appreciate the under-deck Swings and the Chair Swings that make this spot the perfect place to “hang” out. Portable hammocks are also available so you can take a nap in your own special spot among the trees or next to our trickling stream!

There are plenty of hiking trails right off the property, so head out but be prepared to catch a glimpse of Big Foot!

The crown jewel of Blissful Burrow is the secluded outdoor Hot Tub surrounded by Forest, it mimics the feel of a natural hot spring and is the ideal relaxation spot after a day spent hiking or having fun on one of the surrounding rivers or lakes.

- Comfy Lounge Swing Chairs and Swings mounted under the deck, extra entertainment for kids of all ages!

- Portable Hammocks that can be taken out and hung wherever guests choose!

- Outdoor Landscape Lighting and bistro lights for ambiance to enjoy the outdoors well into the evening.

- “Camping” Toys, Board Games, Coloring Books, Unique Picture Books

- Air Hockey, Foosball, 75” TV with Streaming

- Stocked coffee bar- enjoying our morning coffee on the deck is our favorite.

- Large wrap-around covered deck with lots of opportunities for outdoor living - visiting, relaxing, and dining, all while taking in the views of the surrounding woods and pond. Enjoying our deck during rainstorms has been an unexpected form of bliss that cannot be duplicated!

- Indoor gas fireplace and electric fireplace, Alexa throughout the house

- Boat/trailer parking is available for those spending time enjoying the nearby lake and rivers, and an electric vehicle charging port. (220v)

Guests will need to have their own transportation, two nearby airports are Atlanta (ATL) and Chattanooga (CHA) for car rental needs, each about 2 hours from the cabin.
