Birthday getaway
This house is so clean, peaceful and quiet. The location is perfect. My mom and my husband enjoyed the pier. They actually caught a nice size fish our last morning here. The owner was easy to reach and always responded right back. I am truly happy I found this place and that I got to celebrate my birthday here with my family. My adult children fell in love with it as well.

Wonderful Stay!
My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this property! Beautiful home and very comfortable. I loved the beds, they were so soft. Great location and amazing views! Check in was so simple and you did not have to pick up a key from a second location. We look forward to staying here again when the pool is completed!

Million Dollar View
Beautiful view. No key as indicated on email. Kayak had a hole- sank and was awful to bring in. No cord for electric recliner. But, very nice. Would go again, but difficult for handicap husband to navigate with the sunken living room.

Edna, thanks for the great comment on our million $ view. We agree. Which kayak has a hole? We’ll fix that now. Regarding the steps, yes. Our home is not handicap accessible once you get through the front door and ramp. We would’ve advised you of that and don’t market our house as handicap accessible. Thanks for your nice words.

Wonderful Stay At Blue Skies
Blue Skies is an excellent property with many amenities that other places don't offer. Garet Beane was very accommadating and extremely helpful. We look forward to staying there again. Wonderful Property.

Lovely stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at blue Skies! The location was perfect for our activities- visiting friends, scuba diving, golfing, enjoying the local offerings, and above all, relaxing in the home’s beautiful setting!! We loved mornings and evenings on the dock, watching the tides, fishing, watching the full moon, and thinking about kayaking (next time!). The house had everything we needed as far as supplies. They were well marked and easy to find. The beds were comfortable and the views from everywhere were awesome! Thanks for a great home, we hope to come back soon!

Beautiful place on the water
Absolutely loved this place. Very clean, plenty of room. Beautiful patio out back with a private dock to fish from. kayaks, paddleboards, life vest and a grill in the garage. We had 6 adults and were all very comfortable. Driveway is a little tight if you have a large truck but still had plenty of space. All 6 guests agreed to see if it's available again next year.

Not for mobility challenged.
We enjoyed our stay. House and amenities were as described. Kitchen was well supplied. A strong reccomendation I have for description is it should have included "not recommended for persons who are mobility challenged". Lots ot stairs, and very steep hills in yard leading to dock. An up Wheelchair ramp at front door and a down ramp into living room helped some but a person has to use stairs to reach any bedroom or bathroom. We had a very exhausting visit as one of our guests is "mobility challenged"!!!!!!

Amazing!
We loved our week-long stay with family! The view is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the dock or on the back patio area watching the many types of birds. We took walks through the lovely neighborhood and paddle boarded on the waterway. Our drive to the beach was about 15 minutes but we could have just stayed at this house and relaxed every day. Great vacation house!

Wonderful stay
Wonderful home with amazing views. There were 6 siblings ages 67+. We had most everything we needed and the couple things we didn’t have, garnet Beane was immediately available to assist us. Handicap ramp much appreciated. Hope to return.

Excellent property/experience. Would rent again.
I think this might be our favorite coastal property we've rented (and we've rented a lot). I can't say enough about the water views. You see them from everywhere in the house (even while doing dishes). You'd swear the water was closer than it is (altho it's close). We rented mid-March when still chilly, therefore didn't take advantage of all the kayaks, paddleboards, etc. the house has to offer. The house is clean, well stocked, tastefully decorated, with an open floor plan that suits vacationing with friends/family. The private dock is a delight and watching the boats and birds (and dolphins!) never got old. There is every kitchen appliance you could need; plenty of hangers; and the homeowners are generous with paper products (even Kleenex). We stayed 9 nights and were in no rush to go home. ps. the homeowners were a pleasure to work with.

Fantastic Getaway

Family get away
We rented from VRBO on our last trip to Hawaii. Our experience this trip was exceptional. The booking was efficient and the property was everything we hoped for. Blue Skies is the perfect sound side get away!
We had the most wonderful week at Blue Skies in Morehead City. The home is spacious, set in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of water sport toys for kids and adults. Garet was very quick to respond to questions we had upon arrival. We enjoyed the personal connection with the him, making us feel more of a guest, than just a renter. The waterfront views are spectacular with picturesque sunrises and sunsets. Our kids enjoyed fishing from the dock, kayaking and swimming in the sound. The backyard allowed for some football games, baseball throws and a lot of lounging. The internet handled four kids doing “remote learning” for school with no loss of connection. Blue Skies was the perfect home away from home for our family. We will be back!

Fantastic home, great location and incredible views!
This was the perfect getaway for our family and a fantastic way to celebrate Thanksgiving! The home has phenomenal views, spacious, great bedrooms and baths, and the kitchen was nicely appointed for all our cooking needs. I would highly recommend this property. We will have to come back when the weather is warm to enjoy the water!

We had a great time at blue skies, it had everything we could want for a rental with excellent ambiance and a cozy home feel. Our 2yo daughter settled right in and did not want to leave. We spent a ton of time on the pier, it looked amazing at night trimmed in solar lights!

Annual Mother Baby Beach Weekend
We had a great time staying at Garet's place. The house layout and space suited our group really well - 5 moms and 5 little ones (aged 3 months- 2.5 years). The new dock is lovely and a glass of wine on the back deck with that view can't be beat. Lots of toys, every room can easily fit a pack n play, and plenty of fridge and counter space for endless snacks. Directv was super easy and having linens included was too. We used Fort Macon beach access which was a 10-15 min drive with ample free parking and facilities. We would absolutely stay with Garet again!

All we could ask for and more!
Our families loved Blue Skies. Vacation rentals are all about location, amenities and comforts for our family and this property delivered on every front. The location is secluded, quiet and sound front. The view can’t be beat and the sound offers opportunities crabbing, fishing, kayaking, kiddo safe swimming, stand up paddling and simple boat gazing as vessels travel the intercoastal. The amenities offered we perfect. Our families cook pretty remarkable dinners every night with the bounty right from the sound and we laughed the property is literally only missing a crab hammer and a lemon zester. That’s a short wish list. There was nothing we wished was on site that wasn’t and the comforts of the home were plentiful. The views, kitchen, rooms and bathrooms were just right. The check in process was easy with only a little hiccup with how previous guests left the keys and lock box. Garret was polite and responsive during the entire process. The house was the type of house that allowed the process of slipping into vacation mode easy.
