The wedding ends. The graduation is over. But nobody has to say goodbye yet. Everyone comes back here. The kids disappear into one room. Someone opens a bottle of wine. Stories start around the table. And the people you rarely get under one roof are suddenly under the same one—with enough space that nobody feels crowded. That’s why guests keep talking about how HUGE this historic Montgomery home is. But the size isn’t the best part. It’s what happens when everyone stays together.
We want you to enjoy your stay! It’s likely you won’t see me during your visit, which allows you more privacy and convenience.
However, I am here anytime you need to reach out. If you need anything or have questions, just send me a message and I’ll be quick to respond.
Welcome to Montgomery's historic Garden District — one of the city's most beautiful and walkable old neighborhoods, just minutes from downtown. Wide, tree-lined streets are lined with grand early-twentieth-century homes, each with its own architectural character, and the whole district has the unhurried feel of a place people have loved for a hundred years.
The Garden District sits right between downtown and Cloverdale, so you get the quiet of a residential street with almost everything a short drive away.
Food lovers do well here. Cloverdale's restaurants, cafes and the Capri Theatre are just up the road, with Southern cooking, coffee and a genuinely good local dining scene within a few minutes.
For time outdoors, Cloverdale Park is nearby for a walk or a picnic, and the Riverwalk along the Alabama River is a short drive for riverfront paths, concerts and riverboat cruises.
Downtown is four minutes away, which puts the Alabama State Capitol, the Rosa Parks Museum, the Legacy Museum, Riverwalk Stadium and the city's Civil Rights history all within easy reach. Maxwell Air Force Base is about seven minutes, and the Montgomery Zoo about ten.
Whether you're in town for a wedding, a graduation, a reunion or work, the Garden District is a quiet, central base with real character — and an easy drive to everything you came for.
You'll have the whole house and both yards to yourselves. Park in the driveway on the left side of the home — it's shared with our neighbor, so please pull all the way over next to our house so there is room for them to get by. There is space for up to six vehicles. The front door has an electronic keypad lock, and your code is released in your digital guidebook once your rental agreement is signed, your check-in form is complete, and your balance is paid.
