The house is located north of Siena in a small hamlet. Chianti, with its lovely towns, villages, and renowned wineries, is easily and quickly reached from here. Just five kilometres away lies Monteriggioni, a historic town with intact medieval walls and several good restaurants. The nearby town of Colle Val d’Elsa is known for its crystal glass production and offers all necessary amenities including supermarkets and shops. A special highlight is the nearby Sentier Elsa, a four-kilometre walking path along the river with natural pools and waterfalls – perfect for picnics or escaping the summer heat. Siena is only a 25-minute drive away, and San Gimignano, Florence, and Volterra also make excellent day trip destinations.
